Highly recommended! The seating is beautiful, the view is fantastic, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The service is excellent, even for German-speaking tourists. The food was delicious, and we'll definitely be back.

A truly pleasant experience, I ate some truly original local dishes that were very good, I will gladly return when I return to Abruzzo 😍

We live abroad and have been to the Civico 20 restaurant two or three times. We discovered it by chance and immediately loved it. The dishes are authentic Abruzzo dishes, and the ingredients are excellent. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The owner, Nicola, is always ready to accommodate any requests. The staff speaks excellent English and German, and the restaurant is truly welcoming, even to foreigners. In fact, we brought some German friends to the restaurant, and they were thrilled. We even took a lesson with them on how to make homemade pasta. Nicola and his young assistant (daughter) assisted and guided us. It was great fun, and the kids loved it! We highly recommend this restaurant, and when we return to Roccascalegna, we'll be happy to eat here again.

We ate outside in a small square with the illuminated castle in front of us. That alone makes it worth going. We found the mixed antipasti platter a bit pricey for the quantity, but the quality is unquestionable.

Tradition, inclusiveness, and exceptional hospitality! In the beautiful village of Roccascalegna at the foot of the Castle, we discovered a true gem: the Civico 20 restaurant. Valentina and Nicola welcome guests with rare warmth, offering traditional cuisine inspired by the recipes of Nicola's grandmother, who lived to be 99. The quality of the locally sourced ingredients is evident in every bite. We tried the exquisite pizz' e foje, gnocchi with zucchini cream and saffron, with chopped hazelnuts, and incredible handmade cabbage rolls filled with organic chickpea cream, garlic, and rosemary, embellished with flakes of Altino sweet pepper. The baked potatoes were also excellent. Its strength is the total attention to everyone's needs: the menu is clear and transparent, perfect for those with intolerances, with excellent options to suit all tastes, and special attention to vegans and vegetarians. A perfect example of modern dining that respects the past.

What can I say... Simply sublime. During a motorcycle ride, we happened upon this place. Valentina, the wife of the owner, Nicola, immediately proved to be a lovely person, offering us assistance. We thus discovered that the place we had, in our embarrassment, mistaken for a bar, is actually an interesting restaurant with art rooms. So, after visiting Roccascalegna, we returned for dinner, and... Excuse the photo of the empty plates, but the last thing I thought I'd do was review it; the immense goodness won out, delighting our taste buds. After paying the obligatory compliments on the cuisine, I discovered that this establishment is very welcoming to motorcyclists. - Rintròcili, Homemade pasta with mixed mushrooms, including porcini mushrooms and truffle: a real treat for the palate. - Ravioli with tomato sauce: a real treat. - Cace and egg balls: the best I've ever eaten. * The ticket next to the plate is the itinerary Nicola showed us to the Acque Vive River Park.

A truly positive experience with Nicola, Valentina, and their incredibly kind staff. Everyone was delighted with the menu: vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. I'm very particular about food, but this time I ate everything! Truly delicious! Recommended for all diets, and as a vegan, I would definitely go back. :)

Four of us stopped here for lunch today, and I have to say we couldn't have asked for better. Excellent food served by extremely friendly staff. I'd give it six stars if I could.
