Super nice restaurant. We'd been there earlier this week, and it was completely full; there were even people waiting. This time we arrived on time and were able to eat without a reservation. The food was delicious; we had spaghetti carbonara and the regular hamburger. The staff was also super friendly! Definitely recommended.

Had a local Tyrolean cuisine: Hauswurst mit Sauerkraut und Röstkartoffel (Traditional sausage with sauerkraut and roasted potatoes) which was quite nice. Paired with a house wine Pinot. Staff was super nice and accommodating.

We went as a group of four and appreciated the speed of the kitchen. Both the lunch and the pizzas were good and arrived quickly. The service, however, was a bit melancholic; the young man who served us seemed to be having a difficult Sunday, perhaps suffering from heartbreak. Although we were there to eat, for me, the complete experience counts for a lot, and a smile on the table always makes a difference. Oh, and be careful, the water might be more expensive than the pizza... haha

We've eaten here several times; after an eight-hour drive from Germany, it was our first stop a few weeks ago. The pizza is simply delicious, and the service is very friendly.

We were there during the Spatzenfest (Spatzen Festival), and it was just a mass-produced meal. Unfortunately, the food was completely tasteless, whether it was pizza or pasta. The staff was very friendly.

Cola Zero costs 4.5 Euro in a can, while in the supermarket next door you buy 6 cans in the same price, this is very expensive. In addition they charge 10 Euro service on a meal that cost 40 Euro. Came out disappointed, paid a lot of money, the food was OK but the price very high

08/11/2025: We had lunch at this beautiful farmhouse on a Saturday in November, having booked in advance, but there wasn't any need. We ate inside, but there would have been plenty of space outside as well, and the view was splendid. The staff were very friendly, and in addition to the menu, there were several equally delicious off-menu options. All the dishes were tasty and well-prepared, home-cooked, and the meat dishes were made with meat from their own farms. The homemade bread was truly delicious. The coffee from a local roaster was much appreciated. They also took great care of children, and there were high chairs, a changing table, a playground, animals outside, and a beautiful park. Highly recommended. Prices are in line with the South Tyrolean standard.

Ristorante Messnerwirt´s Stuben

05/11/2025: I've known the Hotel Messnerwirt in Valdaora di Sopra for over a decade. I last stayed there in August 2025. The family-run atmosphere lends the hotel a welcoming and truly comfortable atmosphere. The property has recently been renovated and offers everything you need in a hotel of this caliber, including a relaxation area with a sauna and Turkish bath, sensory shower, whirlpool, and infrared cabin, as well as numerous relaxation stations. The cuisine is delightful, light, and tasty, and always well-balanced. The service is attentive, discreet, and friendly. Breakfast is also excellent, especially the "sweet" version, which I prefer. A true courtesy to guests is the snack offered every afternoon, with authentic cakes and drinks that restore you from the morning's exertions! The rooms are spacious, all with balconies and very comfortable beds. The location is truly strategic, even for those who love a cycling holiday. The garage offers a veritable mini-workshop where you can take care of your bike, whether electric or manual, including the option of a thorough wash. The stunning setting of the Pusteria Valley gives this property, located at the foot of a typical Pusteria bell tower, a magical feel. I highly recommend it for families, couples, and single travelers!
