A small restaurant located in Modena's historic center, just steps from the Palazzo Ducale. The restaurant's size means the tables are very close together. Traditional cuisine, excellent ingredients, and high-quality dishes, even overly generous. I disagree with the manager's decision to only offer a selection of Lambrusco or Champagne. The price is good, absolutely in line with the quality of the food.

If you're looking for a true Emilian experience in Modena, Zemiàn is a must-see. A small, welcoming osteria, with a warm atmosphere and impeccable service: kind, attentive, and always smiling. The dishes? Simply delicious. From the flavorful tagliatelle with ragù, to the creamy and irresistible rosettes, to the gnocco fritto with excellent cured meats... everything is meticulously prepared with authentic, traditional flavors. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the passion in the kitchen. One of those trattorias where you eat truly well and leave wanting to return. Congratulations! 👏🍷✨

We had a lovely evening in a restaurant full of locals - which I can understand! The food was delicious, we shared both pasta (Rosetta) and meat dishes - delicious. Washed down with local Lambrusco. With helpful and informative staff, I would recommend Zemian. Excellent food and good value. You need to book in advance though!

One of the best if not the best restaurant we have eaten in Emilia-Romagna. Prices are adequate. Quality is supreme. Perfectly cooked pasta with sauce full of flavour. Aromatic coffee typical for the region (but a bit too acidic for me). Genial crema mascarpone - simple but is not always the complexity that makes a dish. And the service - wonderful people. The only drawback was my weak Italian :(.

We truly enjoyed our time at this little osteria, a true gem of Modena cuisine. Davide, the server, is very kind and friendly, making you feel right at home. I particularly enjoyed the food: fried gnocchi and tigelle, with truly quality cured meats, calzagatti, a polenta and bean dish typical of Modena, and then the first courses, generous portions and delicious, especially the tagliatelle with ragù. And finally, a mascarpone cream with chocolate biscuit, which I found very well-balanced and not overly sweet, a perfect end to a very enjoyable lunch. The prices were fair; we spent €90 for three, a fair price for what we ordered. Thank you, Davide, for your kindness and excellent cuisine. When we return to Modena, Zemiàn will be a regular stop.

I had lunch here today with friends: the place is very nice, the welcome was excellent, and the quality of the dishes we chose was excellent: first courses (the rosettes were delicious...unforgettable) and desserts. A good selection of wines, and they know how to recommend without being intrusive. The prices are moderate for the quality and portions. Well done!!!
