As guests of the Vannucci Hotel (which is perfect), we tried the Zafferano restaurant in the evening and were very disappointed by the quality of the dishes, particularly the fillet of beef with truffle slices, the meat of which was difficult to chew and the truffle had absolutely no taste... the other two dishes were just okay. We only had the second dish.

Beautiful location. Steak was underwhelming and overcooked, fries were harder than chips with no soft center, no wine served with the meal, and the wine offered after was clearly mismatched. Sides arrived late, and presentation was sloppy. Far better meals elsewhere in Città della Pieve at a third of the price.

Ein schöner Abend auf der Terrasse mit sonniger Aussicht. Sehr guter Service, ausgezeichnetes Essen und außergewöhnlicher Wein. Ein sehr gelungener Abend! Sehr zu empfehlen!!!

04/01/2026: The food was really good and tasty (the meatballs with plenty of sauce are highly recommended). I highly recommend the eggplant and Norcia meatballs, paired with torta di testo. The atmosphere was comfortable, nothing particularly welcoming, but nice. It exceeded expectations because it wasn't the usual chain at all, but it had something personal! The price was a little high, but overall, I recommend it.
25/12/2025: The best restaurant in Perugia by far. Amazing meatballs. I went there for my anniversary with my girlfriend and they treated us wonderfully. The dishes were exquisite, from starter to dessert, and the atmosphere was truly wonderful. The owner and waiter were friendly and attentive right down to the last minute. If you're in the area, you CAN'T MISS IT. It deserves to stay open for 100 years.
