Wood Restaurant In Valtournenche

Food was good, but wouldn’t say amazing, as I usually expect with a Michelin restaurant (of which I’ve been to many). Presentation was nice, but not overly impressed with taste/flavors. Staff was attentive and service was top notch. Atmosphere is such that it wants to be cozy in a ski town with simple wood decor, but there is something missing to the coziness, and just feels a bit stiff and cold. Overall, decent meal but not worth the Michelin prices.

A big thank you for all the attention received both in the service and in the care of the dishes, you transmit passion and love in everything you do and the dishes are proof of this, one more exhilarating than the other, accompanied by a very interesting wine suggested by the expert Cristian whom I thank together with Amanda, two special people.

For a Michelin star restaurant normaly you're expecting the best of the best. It is imposibile to go to a Michelin⭐ restaurant and give Les then 5*. Tre staff was warm and helpful, the most of the food was tasty and good looking. Some weakness from the staff (didn't bother us) should be improved: - the table should be cleaned always from rest overs after every dish not only after the last dish - they should find a better (or an official way) to serve the cognac especially when is a XO .... Not just bring you the bottle to show it to you but they bring you the bottle after they put the cognac in a cold and very cheep glass (nothing special except the fine cognac that we served) - if a plate is dirty it should be replaced right away:( - the glasses and the cutlery was not the best quality (medium at the most) This is just a feedback for improve your skills is not a bad feedback cause we were satisfied about the restaurant but we did have much and hi value experience in other Michelin ⭐ restaurants. Le preparazioni sono caratterizzate da un’attenta ricerca delle materie prime e delle tecniche di realizzazione, il risultato è semplicemente incredibile! Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è straordinario. Torneremo certamente, è un’esperienza da provare!

Excellent tasting experience, truly well-prepared dishes and excellent and refined raw materials, small and welcoming environment. The attention and offer to food intolerances needs to be improved (gluten free)

To celebrate a special occasion we went to Cristian and Amanda's WOOD restaurant; We couldn't have made a better choice. Warm and welcoming environment, without making you feel out of place. Perfect service on time and in ways. The kitchen... a discovery! Normally we find dishes that we like more than others or combinations that are not fully convincing; this evening ended with the pleasure of tasting from the first to the last dish. Getting advice on the right wine to pair with the dish allowed us to fully appreciate the skills of chef Amanda and Cristian's knowledge of wines. In our opinion, an experience not to be missed
