Volo Restaurant In Lecce

A lovely restaurant offering an antipasti menu with several small appetizers. Ideal for two people to start with. The Pezzetti di cavallo was excellent, as was the fresh pasta with tomato sauce and ricotta. Simple service and good wine recommendations. We would have liked to see more smiles from our servers. Eating outside is a good option if the weather permits, as the street is quiet.

Nice food, but the prices were a bit high for what they have offered.

It was simply unbelievably delicious, and the gluten-free pasta was a dream. A perfect place for anyone with celiac disease.

So, nice setting, full restaurant, which was promising. Took a while to order then our exact shared starter was delivered to the next table, guy on his own, poked around with it then sent it back. After a while our starter arrived, on a different plate, I was praying it was freshly cooked but how can I tell?! Meanwhile the waiter knocked over the water on a lady on a neighbouring table, she looked pissed off for the rest of the meal but no real apology / no free drink etc. Food was basically fine, sea bass somewhat overcooked and with a weird salad with carrot. Then next table guy left taking the tablecloth with him (literally) smashing his wine glass as he went. Rather than sweeping it up immediately the waiter then crunched through the broken glass a couple of times. All the remaining diners looked at each other perplexed. After that, no service at all, no pudding etc offered, all very bizarre!

We had dinner with my partner, who is celiac, at this restaurant. In addition to the excellent dishes—both the appetizers and the two first courses were truly top-notch—we really appreciated the staff's meticulous attention to detail in ensuring the gluten-free dishes are prepared. Being AIC-certified, they offer an extensive gluten-free menu, including a dedicated gluten-free menu. Beyond that, the dishes were excellent and the staff were very friendly. In my opinion, an excellent restaurant.

Refined Salento tradition, from appetizers to desserts. The owner and staff are extremely welcoming and helpful. Fantastic location.

We booked a day in advance and got a nice table outside. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. My wife is coeliac so they presented her with a gluten free menu (which was almost the same as the main menu). Worth a visit if you are in Lecce. Perhaps book in advance if you can!

I've had the pleasure of eating at Il Volo many times, and they've never disappointed me. The service is fast and efficient, and the staff is friendly and professional. They embody Lecce tradition through their consistently top-quality dishes. I absolutely recommend it (and as a local!) I can't wait to go back.

Great food - swordfish carpaccio excellent!

The food was very good. The lady serving us, due to a language communication problem that she can clearly have with anyone, brought us a dish we hadn't ordered. It was just a mix-up, but the way she handled it afterwards wasn't right, which is why we lowered the rating a couple of stars.
