05/01/2026: A place with a homey atmosphere. We had dinner here and felt right at home. The owners were friendly and the food was excellent. We tried the gnocchi ossolani, which I recommend, and a tagliata with gorgonzola, finishing with a delicious pear and chocolate cake.
A pleasant and relaxing evening.
01/01/2026: Entering Al Rustico is like sitting down to eat with a rehabilitated bear: the owner greets you with a growl, a "don't ask me any questions" look, and the look of someone who might have been referred to a couple of therapists.
Then the food arrives, and it's surprisingly good. Sincere dishes, full flavors, a cuisine that speaks volumes. And as you eat, something changes: between appetizers and first courses, the gruff man melts away; between main courses and dessert, a smile even appears.
By the end of the evening, it's no longer the potential psychopath who invited you to sit down, but an almost affectionate host, as if the therapy had worked right there, in front of you.
A restaurant where you eat well and witness, for free, the owner's redemption. Recommended for those who love good food and stories with an unexpected happy ending.
