My wife and I dined at the Vintage 1997 restaurant during a visit to Turin.
It was a wonderful experience. The service staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was refined. We had a wine pairing, and both the dishes and the wines were delicious.

Came here for an anniversary lunch with my wife and we were treated very well. Food was very tasty and thoughtful. I highly recommend this restaurant on anyone’s journey to Torino. Dress for the occasion!

An elegant and welcoming restaurant with an atmosphere that takes you back in time. The cuisine is refined and true to Piedmontese tradition: we sampled vitello tonnato, tajarin, and other dishes, all impeccably prepared. The wine selection is also truly excellent, extensive and carefully selected. The service is professional and attentive; the owner often stops by the tables to chat and offer recommendations, which I found pleasant. Prices are moderately high, but justified by the quality and overall experience. Ideal for an elegant business lunch or a special dinner.

Quite underwhelming. Had the vegetarian menu and pretty much everything was bland. Steamed vegetables, lack of seasoning.. overall our experience left a lot to be desired.

The lunch menu was based on fish. The appetizer was very good, but the first course wasn't up to par. The pasta was cooked so well that it almost seemed pre-cooked. We stood there for several minutes with empty glasses because the waiters apparently weren't allowed to serve it, only the owner, who was absent. Strange. Personally, I found the place unique but dusty, perhaps also due to the carpeting that, not being properly laid out on the entrance steps, caused an elderly dinner companion to trip and risk injury.

Durante un fine settimana lungo, durante il quale ho avuto modo di provare i piatti e i gusti tipici della cucina piemontese, ho scelto di chiudere la gita torinese presso questo ristorante: seguendo l’istinto oltre che la Guida, mi è sembrato che qui si ritrovino i veri capisaldi della memoria storica di questa città e di questi sapori, così decisi, così confortevoli. Abbiamo scelto il percorso della degustazione “Territorio”, una vera celebrazione su ceramica di ciò che significa avere 40 tuorli d’uovo per kilo di farina nel piatto, di cosa significa avere un ripieno di gallina ed erbette di campo abbracciate da una laccatura di arrosto negli agnolotti, di cosa significa, ancora, una Torinese con grissino croccante come panatura. Lasciandomi consigliare dal gentilissimo e preparato sommelier, abbiamo bagnato tutto con una splendida bottiglia di Barbaresco, fatto con il cuore oltre che con le uve di Giacosa.
Non ultima, ma degna del titolo a questa recensione, la storia e la classe di un padrone di casa, Umberto: se la moda non scalfisce questo locale è per la tradizione che solo un personaggio come lui riesce a trasmettere ai suoi ospiti.
