Ho vissuto i tempi d’oro del bar Vanni ( dagli anni 60) perché nato e vissuto a via Monte Zebio. Ricordo un bar di classe e di alto livello. Oggi è la caricatura di quello che era. La nuova generazione dei Vanni hanno tentato di cavalcare le nuove generazioni , ma sono stati disarcionati.

La pasticceria di Vanni è superlativa: ne ho provati tanti, ma il cornetto vegano di Vanni è tra i migliori a Roma, ha un impasto che si scioglie in bocca superlativo, unico. Anche tutti gli altri lieviti sono eccellenti. Le torte sono indubbiamente care ma ottime. Complimenti a tutti i pasticceri e a un locale che è sempre, sempre aperto ed è un punto di riferimento: non lascia mai solo il cliente.

21/01/2026: It is indeed a bit overpriced but nothing dramatic for a place in such a touristy location. Food is okay but nothing amazing either. Service was fine. I feel like all these one star reviews are a bit exaggerated. It's not a great place but it is certainly better than 1.7.

30/04/2025: The only saving grace for this restaurant was the Gelato. Its 3€ for 2 scoops in a small cone. We enjoyed the Gelato so much, we came back on another day on our trip to Rome. The 2nd time we came, we also bought food... we ordered salmon, spaghetti, meatballs, and pizza. Salmon came with squid - but both were really bland. Spaghetti was very salty. Meatballs were okay.. and the pizza was hard and rubbery. If you come here - Gelato was delicious and a great price! Otherwise, I'd skip it.
