Breathtaking and enchanting venue, very polite, friendly, and helpful staff. The food was also delicious, including a very tasty cured meats appetizer and a delicious pizza. Everything was superb.

We were drawn by the name of this restaurant and the artwork we saw inside, and we decided to take a seat. Definitely the best choice for the evening! A warm and welcoming atmosphere with eye-catching artistic touches, dishes prepared with passion and quality, but above all, the owner was AMAZING! A truly exceptional person who made us feel like we were dining with a friend. He's not only an excellent restaurateur, but a kind and gentlemanly person who loves what he does and welcomes his guests with passion and style. Thank you!

When we're in Matera, my husband and I have been choosing Ristorante Pizzeria Van Gogh for years because it's an absolute guarantee: excellent dishes, from appetizers to first and second courses of meat and seafood, and to round out the meal, the desserts are truly delicious.
Their absolute kindness, helpfulness, and attentive service are a plus, making this the best culinary experience in the city.
We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lunch and/or dinner that emphasizes quality ingredients, flavor, and friendliness. A special shout out to Bartolo and Mario.

Incredible pizza!! We also had tiramisu and a pistachio cake for dessert and they were wonderful. Definitely worth stopping by after exploring Matera.

We showed up on a Saturday night without a reservation, but Mario found us a table in no time. He's incredibly friendly and professional, and Bartolo, the owner, is incredibly kind and treated us like family even though he'd never met us before. The pizza was one of the BEST I've ever had, with the dough and ingredients being of the highest quality. We paid very little and will definitely be back ❤️

This pizzeria is located on Matera's beautiful promenade, within walking distance of the views and a taste of dinner! The staff is extremely friendly, and the pizza was excellent, and served promptly despite the crowds.
