We really enjoyed Diego's cuisine because the quality and ingredients were excellent, such as the homemade pasta. I had the strangozzi alla norcina and I have to say I really enjoyed it! I would have preferred the tagliata to be more generous (but that's not a criticism, just my personal taste).
The atmosphere is refined and intimate, and Diego's hospitality and professionalism make you feel at home.
The chef personally took care of us guests, moving from table to table, creating a very personal, down-to-earth relationship.
I recommend this restaurant if you want to try authentic, homemade, and refined dishes and have a different experience.

Small restaurant in the village of Mantignana. A little tricky to find on a village street. The owner welcomes us with a warm handshake. The menu is regional, with a strong focus on the sourcing of the ingredients. The wine list is interesting, with a good selection of Umbrian wineries, and prices are reasonable. We had a good time; the atmosphere is great, the customer service is attentive, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Perhaps the only flaw I find is the prices, which are a bit higher than usual, with inexplicable spikes (a charcuterie board costs €29), but overall, the entire menu is very high-quality for the quality of the dishes.
Perhaps it reflects the tourist clientele, which tempts the restaurant owner, especially in terms of prices.
Wild boar stew, well-spiced and with a pleasantly sweet note. Good, but perhaps a little too disjointed. If you ask me: “But in the end, would you recommend the restaurant?”, I answer affirmatively, for the context, for the generally high quality of the offerings, but I also humbly suggest perhaps a rethink on the prices which are indeed a little too much.

What can I say? A charming and convivial restaurant in the heart of a beautiful village, with welcoming and friendly staff. The food... simply wonderful. I think I've rarely eaten so well in my life. My boyfriend and I chose two tasting menus with truffle-based courses... From appetizer to dessert, it was a true journey of discovery through the flavors of Umbria. And what can I say? The pasta is all handmade, and you can even buy it directly from their website. It was a wonderful discovery, and we'll definitely be returning!

Excellent experience. Last night, October 16th, we stopped for dinner with four of us. We found friendly service, typical Umbrian dishes, and excellent handmade pasta. One person was celiac and found excellent personalized options, such as the gluten-free pasta and warm bread. Restaurants often offer pre-packaged options, but here, however, they paid special attention to those who have this need. We'll be back.

What a wonderful, serendipitous dinner! We showed up as 7 people and they were so gracious to accommodate us. Diego was so warm, charming, gregarious, and fun that we had a great time even before the food was served. He has created a low let, warm, intimate environment. He gave wonderful recommendations, the wine was wonderful, and all of the food was delicious (especially the local specialties, including the beef and pappardelle con cinghiale). We would come back and absolutely recommend if you’re in the area.

Wonderful restaurant with outdoor seating between old houses. The best food we've had in Umbria so far, authentic Umbrian cuisine. Excellent staff and service. Highly recommended as an alternative to all the restaurants in Perugia!

Excellent small restaurant in the little village Mantignana nearby Perugia. The atmosphere of both the village as well as the restaurant is great. Chef Diego is clear, loud, friendly and helpfull. The dinner is great. We took the vegatarian menu which comprises of 5 dishes. All was delicious. Our dog (quiet and nice) was very welcome. The only downside i can think of is the speed of serving the dishes. They work with two shifts on an evening, so i think they speed up a little. Anyway i can highly recommend this restaurant.
