Excellent while the chef was on site; he's a warm and affable personality. He piqued your curiosity with his stories and recommended dishes, even adapting the menu to the special needs of some of our table. As soon as he had to leave, however, the noise from the kitchen began to be annoying, and the staff even forgot our table's orders halfway through the meal, leaving you twiddling your thumbs for a bit and then asking if we wanted coffee 😂 Anyway, the food was very good; the cuisine is traditional with a twist, high-quality, and with bold flavors. The only flaw: the desserts; the cheesecake was more like a panna cotta, and the others were also not bad, but unworthy of a dinner out.

Diego is the chef and he smashes this out the park. What a character . What a chef. Excpetional detail. Real care. Food is life in this restaurent. Seasonal and all local produce. Bedded inside a castle the picturesque location is as stunning as the food. Well worth ever calories gained.

A perfectly decent restaurant; the Patata Gourmet had promised more in the description, but turned out to be a creamy potato soup with a few bits of garnish. Personally, I found it a bit meager for €16. The Chianina in porchetta was okay, although I couldn't taste the beef. The house wine was very good.

Welcoming and well-kept venue, intimate atmosphere, and excellent Umbrian cuisine.

We really enjoyed Diego's cuisine because the quality and ingredients were excellent, such as the homemade pasta. I had the strangozzi alla norcina and I have to say I really enjoyed it! I would have preferred the tagliata to be more generous (but that's not a criticism, just my personal taste). The atmosphere is refined and intimate, and Diego's hospitality and professionalism make you feel at home. The chef personally took care of us guests, moving from table to table, creating a very personal, down-to-earth relationship. I recommend this restaurant if you want to try authentic, homemade, and refined dishes and have a different experience.

Small restaurant in the village of Mantignana. A little tricky to find on a village street. The owner welcomes us with a warm handshake. The menu is regional, with a strong focus on the sourcing of the ingredients. The wine list is interesting, with a good selection of Umbrian wineries, and prices are reasonable. We had a good time; the atmosphere is great, the customer service is attentive, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Perhaps the only flaw I find is the prices, which are a bit higher than usual, with inexplicable spikes (a charcuterie board costs €29), but overall, the entire menu is very high-quality for the quality of the dishes. Perhaps it reflects the tourist clientele, which tempts the restaurant owner, especially in terms of prices. Wild boar stew, well-spiced and with a pleasantly sweet note. Good, but perhaps a little too disjointed. If you ask me: “But in the end, would you recommend the restaurant?”, I answer affirmatively, for the context, for the generally high quality of the offerings, but I also humbly suggest perhaps a rethink on the prices which are indeed a little too much.

What can I say? A charming and convivial restaurant in the heart of a beautiful village, with welcoming and friendly staff. The food... simply wonderful. I think I've rarely eaten so well in my life. My boyfriend and I chose two tasting menus with truffle-based courses... From appetizer to dessert, it was a true journey of discovery through the flavors of Umbria. And what can I say? The pasta is all handmade, and you can even buy it directly from their website. It was a wonderful discovery, and we'll definitely be returning!

Diego is a super chef and a person with a big heart, always available to listen and able to recommend and explain every dish. The food is divine, you have to try it.
