They offer us a menu of €27 per person, which consists of pasta bolognese or pasta frute di mare (spaghetti with tomato and some mussels on top) as a starter and meat or fish as a main course, with dessert (industrial tiramisu cake), water and came. Poor quality and scarce, quite slow service. The only thing we liked was the man who played the accordion while we ate (who, by the way, also passed the cap) We had heard good things about this place and it was the worst restaurant we ate at during our visit to Venice.

It is always a tremendous pleasure to return, spend a pleasant time, delicious food at a good price with quality/quantity ratio. Domenico excellent host. Super recommended.

Warm and friendly service paired with delicious food! The bread arrived fresh, hot, and smoky—absolutely loved it. The squid ink spaghetti & the grilled fish was delightful, and the meal ended perfectly with a smooth caramel pudding.

Il Trovatore restaurant Il Trovatore Restaurant is a rustic-style restaurant dating back to 1875 that offers fresh pasta and Venetian fish dishes. It is located at Calle de le Rasse, 4535, 30122 Venice VE, Italy. It is open every day from 11am to 11pm. I tried the tourist menu, which included a first course of spaghetti with seafood and a second course of fish fillet with a side of green beans. I finished lunch with an excellent tiramisu. All dishes were very good. The staff was very kind and helpful. The restaurant has a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. It's a great place to enjoy a good meal at reasonable prices. Tip: If you are looking for a good, reasonably priced restaurant near Piazza San Marco, Ristorante Trovatore is a great choice.

Typical Italian cuisine Thematic and welcoming environment Super attentive and agile staff... rating 10!!! Too bad it was too crowded!!! It seems that all the guides took their groups there...it was barely possible to move around... If you don't mind... I recommend it 👍

Tour group review: 7pm restaurant was quiet. Food is nothing exceptional. Was offered a passable Clam pasta and, a fishy grilled fish. Most of our group didn't finish what was offered. Service was meh albeit fast and friendly. Ambiance was decked with old school Italian memorabilia but doesn't shout sophistication. Supposedly there's no toilet available. Perhaps ala carte orders might taste better?

Everything excellent! 👏👏👏 Domenico attended to us. A genius! Ask about him. (He treated us so well that we even took some photos). It is eaten very well and it is not expensive. The delicious fish. The super complete table. We will be back!😀

This was the absolute best meal I had and all of Venice. The restaurant was booked for a group from Thailand that was visiting, but the waiter absolutely accepted us, politely and even serenade us with the saxophone. They were friendly and attentive.

Um restaurante com uma decoração de mascaras venezianas. Um bom serviço, banheiro pequeno - o que é normal em Veneza. Não achei excelente a massa e a carne mas como estavamos num grupo de turista foi um menu fixo.

Después de una caminata extensa por la Plaza de San Marcos, callejones y lugares escondidos pero maravillosos de Venecia, el guía que se llama Domingos, nos llevó a comer a Trovatore. Simplemente espectacular!!! La calidad, sabor y proporción de los alimentos fue exquisita. La atención personal del Sr. Domenico y el Sr. del saxofón (que no tengo su nombre) hizo que nuestra estancia fuera mas agradable a pesar del calor intenso que provocó el verano 2024. Nos hizo cantar el Cielito Lindo, Bella Ciao!, entre otras.
