Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent traditional dishes and excellent wine. Reasonably priced for the quality of the produce. The exterior doesn't stand out, but the interior is quaint and clean.

Trattoria in the historic center, just steps from the old port. Wide selection of both seafood and meat dishes. Generous and tasty portions. A few notes on the service: we were served the wrong dish, which we tried to return but they insisted on leaving anyway. An order was forgotten, and two first courses were brought along with the appetizers. There are quite a few tables, and this can happen, but there's room for improvement.

Hidden in an alleyway it was a great find! Lively atmosphere, young and friendly staff and delicious traditional food! Trofie with pesto: top! Don't miss it!

Trattoria tipica nei pressi del porto vecchio. Rimane leggermente nascosto in un carruggio che sale verso il centro. Cibo ottimo, soprattutto il pesce. Piatti tipici della cucina ligure e non. Personale cortese e servizio rapido. Prezzi nella norma. Consigliato.

09/08/2025: Loved our dinner at La Botte! The host was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The menu is small but every dish is spot-on. We had spaghetti allo scoglio, crispy fried sardines, and sea bream with potatoes and olives. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. Definitely a place to check out in Genova!
23/07/2025: Once again, a beautiful experience. Lunch for a 90th birthday and they played along. There were 21 of us and we made a lot of noise, but they, Andrea and Cristina, were delightful as always... It's nice to have a place to stay calm and be at ease. Fantastic! Spectacular food and everyone loved it. Really excellent

17/09/2025: I stopped in for a business lunch with a former colleague. Reservations are recommended as there are only a few tables. The food was excellent, and considering a full meal costs only €12, I'd say it's worth a stop if you're passing through.
