Trattoria Vanvitelli In Napoli

Well, if I went a second time, I wouldn't risk it and just choose pizza, because the pasta and octopus didn't impress me much. Especially the pasta. It's been a long time since I've eaten so much salt. Not only that, they forgot to bring them. But the dessert Tiramisu, which the chef provided for free as an apology for the pasta, was really, really delicious.

The place is very nice, the food is delicious and authentic Neapolitan, my guide recommended it and it was definitely a good choice, the service was quick and very friendly.

Very welcoming staff and a truly delicious atmosphere. I tried the daily menu, and honestly, it's a truly excellent value. I had spaghetti with clams and zucchini flowers, and cod salad for my second course: the spaghetti was good, but not enough clams; the cod salad was quite good, but there wasn't much cod... It's also true that for €12 per person as a daily price for a quick business lunch, you can't expect the best. Then there was the dessert, which I really enjoyed. I honestly recommend it. It's a worthwhile restaurant, the staff is truly friendly, and the location is truly beautiful. I'll definitely try going there on the weekends sometime to get a more comprehensive experience beyond the daily offerings.

It's a hidden garden in Piazza Vanvitelli. It's a lovely place, the staff is friendly and helpful, and we had a wonderful meal. Recommended!

Trattoria Vanvitelli is a little gem, especially for its internal garden, a peaceful oasis in the heart of Vomero. We started with two first courses: Scarpariello and Gnocco alla Sorrentina, both pillars of Campanian tradition. It's hard to beat the creaminess of the tomato and cheese when they're expertly prepared. For the second courses, we opted for an excellent balance of seafood and land: the grilled calamari with grilled vegetables is the perfect choice for those seeking light fare, while the sausage with broccoli rabe is the sacred marriage of Neapolitan cuisine. Finally, we finished with a flourish with the two extremes of local desserts: the sponginess of the Babà and the freshness of the Strawberry Tart. The service was quick and friendly, which isn't a given, especially in such busy areas. Customer service often makes as much of a difference as the quality of the food. I conclude by saying that it is a place with good quality-price ratio, especially being in a "fashionable" area like Piazza Vanvitelli.
