Quick stop on the way to Aosta. Ample parking. Excellent local "S. Giovanni" mixed appetizer, served promptly, with: Piedmontese Fassona beef tartare, MagaTello tuna sauce, and tomino/ricotta mousse; excellent Nebbiolo by the glass. Five stars also deserved for the price, €18 with water and coffee.

We ordered some takeout for dinner because we were passing through the area. We really appreciated the staff's prompt availability, having everything ready and in perfect takeout packaging in just a few minutes. The gnocchi were excellent, but the polenta concia, the venison bites, and the veal stew were truly unbeatable!! The Novecento cake and the Bonet Top!! Next time we'll make sure to book and try the dishes at our leisure right there. Congratulations!!!

Certainly, when I'm looking for flavors and an experience tied to Piedmont, Trattoria San Giovanni embodies both in image and substance...exactly that. Great service and original, high-quality dishes, just as you'd expect from a true Piedmontese trattoria...well done!

01/02/2026: A very welcoming atmosphere, truly exceptional kindness and helpfulness. We ate typical Piedmontese appetizers, first courses, and second courses, all of excellent quality and flavor, all accompanied by the kindness of Mrs. Barbara and all the staff. ❤️ I recommend it to everyone!
05/01/2026: Everything was excellent. The staff were very friendly. We ate there for lunch; there's a workers' menu. Excellent value for money; we spent just over €10 each. I highly recommend it!

04/01/2026: Excellent family-run restaurant located in a hamlet about ten minutes from Prali with a spectacular view of the valley. The typical Piedmontese food is truly delicious. The waiters come by the table several times to ask if you'd like more. Usually, there's nothing left from the tray. Wine and water are plentiful. Whenever you go to Prali, eating at this wonderful restaurant has become a must.
03/01/2026: Warm welcome, simple yet tasty cuisine, and everything homemade! A selection of hot and cold appetizers, followed by a choice of first and second courses! Set menu €35. I'll be back for the tiramisu, but the tarte tatin was still good! The bathroom was clean and equipped with a changing table, which is not a given!
