Wonderful place! Despite the long queue and popularity, the workers of the restaurant and its patrons remain very warm towards one another. Food tastes amazing as well and very decently priced. I will be back in the future!

Beautiful evening and dinner based on pici with tomato sauce. Family atmosphere and very nice staff. Absolutely the kind of places I like.

Will rate this a solid 4.5. A hidden gem frequented by locals. Food looks and taste more close to the daily home made kind and we enjoyed it. This place is a must to try local dishes. And do not walk out without having at least one or two of the deserts of the day.

The place is perfect for delicious food at a very affordable price, I think it is the cheapest trattoria you can find in the city. The food is very good, simple and for the price you can eat primo-secondo-contorno-vino-dessert for approximately €15-20. The waiter served us very well, he offered us a 1.5L wine for €9 (we were 4 girls drinking came) and although the wait was a little long it was worth it.

A friend recommended it to us and the place exceeded expectations. Good service, good food and even free wifi. If we return we will repeat. It's worth waiting in line to eat here.

Finalmente il locale dove non si accettano prenotazioni. Arrivi per tempo, ti fai la tua fila e quando entri ti viene assegnato il tuo posto. Fantastico. Vuoi mettere evitare la domanda di rito di quando ti affacci sulla porta di un ristorante: "buonasera, ha prenotato?"... Impagabile. Cucina ottima. I piatti sono tutti cucinati benissimo e sanno soddisfare anche il palato più esigente. Menù alla carta rigorosamente rinnovato ogni giorno e scritto a macchina dalla titolare del locale. Servizio attento e veloce. Personale cordiale e disponibile. Piatti tipici tutti da provare. Non deludono. E il prezzo? Assolutamente al di sotto della media. Insomma, un locale da provare e riprovare. Non si rimane delusi. La prova è decisamente la fila di persone che attendono il proprio turno per entrare a degustare i piatti del giorno. Nella bella stagione è disponibile anche un angolo all'aperto. Ogni tavolo ha il suo nome e non importa chi ti trovi a fianco, la cosa importante è il buon cibo e il buon vino. Andare a Firenze e non visitare questo locale è un po' come non ammirare la famosa cupola del duomo. Insomma, poca spesa e tanta resa per un locale storico che sa offrire tanto ad un piccolo prezzo. Consigliatissimo, sia a pranzo che a cena.

We stumbled upon the queue for this restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat dinner after being turned away from another recommendation restaurant nearby . We joined the queue before they opened at 7.15pm It’s quite large with shared tables, you can only see the menu in Italian. So,lots of google in the queue. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated,we were seated on a table for 8 with an American couple. The menu is simple and homely. As others have said €3 for 1/2 litre of decent house wine is almost cheaper than drinking water. Pasta was good as was panzanella salad. We had the stuffed chicken & veal. We shared roast potatoes and cold green beans. For 45 euros it was a steal.
