This place has maintained a good quality/price ratio (a rare find these days in Verona). We dined with a group of 10 friends at the outdoor tables (highly recommended) and ate fish. Excellent quality and service. I've been told the pizza is also very good, but I've always eaten fish!

A resounding "yes!" Lo Scalin is a pizzeria and osteria with a wood-fired oven in the Veronetta area. A simple yet warm place. The fish dishes are excellent; I recommend the swordfish carbonara or the large seafood antipasto, but the mixed cicchetti and pizzas are also very good. For dessert, I recommend their tiramisu. The owner is helpful and reliable. Attentive and helpful staff. Excellent value for money. My only complaint: the bathroom, while clean, is a bit dated.

I go there with friends when I want to enjoy a pizza that's really good. The homemade desserts are delicious. They also offer fish dishes. Friendly staff. Fast service. Lovely atmosphere.

Just outside Verona's historic center, I stumbled upon this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Excellent fresh seafood dishes at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is family-friendly, with good service. Definitely recommended.

06/04/2026: A historic restaurant in the "Classica" Valpolicella region, nestled in the heart of the hills with a beautiful view of the plains below and Verona. In summer, the breeze makes you forget the heat; the excellent service and the attention to detail they put into each dish, often showcasing local ingredients, do the rest (ask for recommendations; everyone is friendly and helpful). The option (minimum two people) of having two different half portions of the first course is a nice touch, allowing you to sample different options. Recommended.
