The best boiled meat trolley in Verona

Dinner with friends, we had risotto with meat and obviously the mixture of boiled and roasted meats, house specialities. From the first course to the desserts, everything was excellent, as was the house wine (in bottles). Super recommended, upon reservation (we waited 2 months).

Fantastic experience, excellent food and staff

Ravenzuolo, municipality in the Lower Veronese area with approximately 2700 inhabitants. We arrive and park the cars at 7.30pm on February 1, 2024, greeted by darkness and cold. We discover that there isn't even a bar to wait for 8pm, which is the opening of the restaurant. The town appears deserted, almost ghostly. We play at the Pergola, an almost century-old venue, and they kindly grant us access. The room, of small dimensions, has unpretentious furnishings, recalling times gone by, but transmits a positive atmosphere. The staff appears friendly and polite. We opt for a taste of the house risotto and pumpkin tortelli, then move on to the trolley of boiled meats and roasts, accompanied by sauces and the inevitable Veronese pearà, all prepared at home. Each course is simply exquisite. The goodness of the food, the kindness and professionalism of the staff, together with the owner's passion for cooking, make La Pergola an essential place for lovers of boiled meat. Long waiting lists confirm its fame and appreciation (we booked in December 2023 to dine not on a Saturday, but on a Thursday evening in February).

La pergola is a historic trattoria in the lower Veronese area. I'll be brief: the food is really very good, and it's worth traveling a few kilometres. The service is impeccable and very attentive. The environment is a bit outdated but the food and service are so good that you don't even think about it. The only thing: we booked in October to have lunch at the end of January, so it needs to be planned well in advance.

Tempi lunghi per prenotare, ma ne valeva la pena. Risotto della casa, squisito, 20 m. di attesa. Poi si va di carrello bolliti e arrosti: lingua, cotechino, prosciutto affumicato lesso e una peara' veramente peara', il tutto bagnato da uno squisito Telos della cantina Castagnedi. I dolci poi, un carrello da girone dei golosi: torta al cioccolato con zabaione caldo, e una fetta con crema rivestita di torrone, queste le ho mangiate tutte le altre le ho guardate per la prossima.

Sono stato ieri sera con la famiglia, e devo dire la verità che inizialmente volevo dare 4 palle, che comunque è un buon punteggio, perché il risotto pur essendo buono non era uno dei migliori che abbia assaggiato, e perché i bagni erano scomodi in quanto bisogna fare una rampa di scale e non riscaldati. Gliene ho date 5 per i bolliti, gli arrosti, il prosciutto affumicato, la pearà le verdure cotte e i dolci. La cucina che faceva mia madre e che mi manca molto. Il personale è gentile e disponibile, il prezzo non so perché non ho pagato io. Vino Merlot della casa molto buono.

Ristorante più. Che Osteria ottimo risotto spettacolare come lo sono i lessi e gli arrosti al carrello prezzi piu che onesti per questa qualità molto molto benr.
