The welcome was perhaps a little rushed (accomplice and excusable given the full restaurant), but it didn't detract from the taste and quality of the food offered.

It's a piece of social and gastronomic history. A must-see during a visit to Pontremoli.
Even better in the warmer months, with tables on the narrow riverside terrace for romantic one-on-one encounters.

You get there by crossing bridges over streams, passing through narrow streets in the center, and even ravines you don't know or can only imagine, and finally you arrive at this simple and splendid old-fashioned trattoria, just the right amount of chaotic, with outdoor seating on a wonderful veranda overlooking the river.
There's no printed menu, but the few delicious dishes are spoken.
We order an appetizer of a simply amazing local salami, with ricotta and chestnut fritters, pecorino cheese, herb cake, and giardiniera.
First courses include artichoke ravioli and a fantastic walnut sauce, and the second course is fried lamb.
The place is small and always busy; reservations are required, otherwise you risk waiting a few minutes, but the service is quick.
The owner is friendly and lively.

A disappointment.
The menu selection was limited: three first courses and two second courses, and one of the two second courses was sold out, forcing us to choose. The flavors of the dishes were bland, and we didn't like them.
We appreciated the cheese appetizer.
The service was also unpleasant.
A trusted person recommended the place to us, and we even made a reservation. We think our experience was a coincidence, probably due to the busy schedule that day.
