A place with a beautiful view in Vellano, in the Swiss Pescia region. Authentic, homemade food. The first courses were delicious, especially the white wild boar sauce (I ordered the trio), and for the second course, the pigeon stuffed with sausage and potatoes was truly divine. The only slightly weaker aspect were the desserts, which we weren't entirely sold on (the torta della nonna and the fruit tart). Kudos to them for not having sugary carbonated drinks. I have to return for the fried foods and the rest.

Very good food, local specialties. The mixed antipasto was good and varied. The first courses were excellent. The meat was good. Service was average. Excellent value for money.

The place is beautiful and charming, with a refined and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was also extremely kind and helpful, a quality I truly appreciated. Unfortunately, however, the overall experience didn't live up to expectations. The menu was rather limited: only two appetizers were available, and the first courses I was interested in weren't even available. In the end, I gave up on ordering one. For my second course, I chose the fillet, but I wasn't asked how well it should be cooked, and it was served medium, verging on well done. I prefer it rare, so I didn't appreciate it as much as I would have liked. The potato side dish was also good, but very limited in quantity. The fried food my boyfriend ordered was very good, well-done, and crispy. The only thing that could be improved: the lemon slice served with the dish was so small it was almost useless, and the cut should have been part of the waste (the stalk was there). We visited many restaurants in the area, and unfortunately, this one was a bit disappointed. It's a shame, because the basics are there: a nice location, good ingredients, and friendly staff. But more attention should be paid to the availability of the dishes, customer communication, and attention to detail.

14/09/2025: Recently visited this charming little bar located conveniently near the University of Messina. As expected for the area, you'll find plenty of students frequenting this spot, creating a lively academic atmosphere. Space & Seating: The bar is quite compact with limited seating, so if you're planning to visit with a larger group, I'd recommend arriving early or being prepared to wait. During daytime hours, the outdoor seating can get quite sunny, making indoor spots more comfortable. Service & Staff: The service was pleasant, with friendly male and female bartenders who were professional and accommodating throughout my visit. I ordered the Crema di Caffè with Panna, which offered good value for money in terms of both quality and portion size. While it was enjoyable and reasonably priced, I wouldn't say it's the absolute best Crema di Caffè you'll find in Messina – but certainly worth trying. Overall: A decent neighborhood spot that's definitely worth a try if you're walking through this area of Messina. While it has some limitations in terms of space and the sweetness level of certain items, the friendly service and reasonable prices make it a solid choice for a quick coffee break, especially if you're in the university district. Recommended for: Students, coffee lovers, quick stops, solo visits
