So the menu says about 12 a dish in fact we pick d two 10 euro dish and a salad and some how our bill came to 32 which in fact is due to a hidden cover charge / we feel this is terribly sneaky / yep it's a nice spot but watch for this no mention from the menu /.food is ok and authentic wine is cheap here /spoiled by the hidden costs

The tripe with beans is simply a pleasure, the open wine goes very well with it and when you pay there is even more joy.

I love offal, so ordered the tripe with tomato and it was perfectly cooked and flavoursome. A lovely casual lunch spot!

I happened to pass by and was attracted by the store. The price is very suitable. A small portion of 5 euros is enough for two people. It is very fresh and the service attitude is very good!

Il mio rifugio nel popolare mercato della Pignasecca per trovare ancora la.vera trattoria napoletana specializzata in quinto quarto. Dove mangiare eccezionale trippa a insalata, zuppa di carnacotta, zuppa di suffritto, pede e musso su una tovaglia di carta, con pane eccezionale e vino della casa. D'estate una bella trippa a insalata con zizza e cientepelle fresca profumata di limone e pepe accompagnata da lupini e olive. Di inverno una coccolosa carnacotta (brodo di trippa ) o trippa alla marescialla col pomodoro oppure un peccaminoso suffritto: zuppa di interiora di maiale piccantissima. In ogni stagione meravigliosa. In una vera trattoria nel mercato popolare della Pigna Secca. Spero non cambi mai. Per i vigliacchi ci sono anche ottime ricette di pescs

06/04/2025: Update March 2025 (at the bottom) A place for connoisseurs. You won't find the usual Mexican/Spanish tourist cuisine, but typical traditional dishes cooked with the same local recipe. The owner (if you know how to get it, he's a very nice and knowledgeable person) boasts thirty years of experience in South American cuisine on site and does it out of passion. The menu is particular and the products are top quality. The paella (if you want to try his) you will have to book it and not on Saturday because he "only cooks fresh products and the original paella needs 3 hours of preparation". La Madrugada is a culinary experience and as mentioned above is for connoisseurs. The environment is quiet and very small (3/4 tables) so booking is mandatory. The prices are quite high but it can be worth it in terms of value for money. Update March 2025: I confirm that the quality of the place, the freshness of the products and the goodness of the cuisine requires a review of the organisation: in the place there is only the owner and the helper (who however only takes care of the kitchen) and it is the owner who manages the orders, table service and preparation of the dishes, this significantly slows down the arrival of the dishes resulting in you having to wait almost two hours to finally be able to taste the paella; A waiter is necessary to manage orders, especially when you have to explain the dishes on the menu, serve at the tables, welcome customers: it is unthinkable to do everything alone because it inevitably takes time away from preparing the dishes and the wait becomes very long and sometimes unnerving. So you are warned, you will eat well, but the wait will be long
