I was very torn about giving this place a rating. It's definitely a good idea and they put a lot of effort into making it happen. But there is something that still doesn't work. I'm sure it's a matter of time and experience but it will get better. This is a tasting restaurant more than the usual place to grab a bite to eat. They have local products. For example, the delicious oil and bread. Excellent local wine. I chose to stick with fish. I would say the starter was good. In the first one I would say there was something wrong. I don't know if the temperature of the dish. However it didn't make me crazy. I ended up with dessert to console myself. Obviously culinary tastes are very subjective and with such refined dishes you risk much more than with the usual dishes.

This was a pleasant surprise. WE had the 50 Euro tasting menu, it was good as the fine dinings we have experienced in the past.

We had lunch at this place on a beautiful November day. The enchanting location outside the chaos of the main street of Riomaggiore. The kind, knowledgeable staff accompanied us to a very pleasant lunch. A one-of-a-kind restaurant where the attention to the raw materials and the search for never predictable and well-balanced dishes emerges in every course. We chose the tasting menu and the pairing with four glasses of wine. This is a journey of local and non-local wines which I found to be an excellent accompaniment to the dishes. The wine list is a wise search for the best local wineries and a selection between Italy and abroad. There are vegetarian choices on the menu.

All around perfect evening Great 5 course surprise menu with brilliant wine accompaniment Aperitif beforehand with a beautiful view over Riomaggiore And Gorgonzola in dessert was the best idea I've seen/eaten in a long time

Amazing experience! We had the tasting menu and wine pairing at fuori rotta. The dishes were all delicious and balanced ans the wine pairing was absolutely outstanding! Would highly recommend

Food was interesting , and well thought out. The watermelon with liver was good. The cod dish was way too salty for our taste, but we did like the pasta dishes!

30/03/2024: Our first night in Levanto on our 3 week Italian road trip and the food was incredible! I ordered the octopus and potatoes; my wife ordered the pesto pasta and we were both very happy! The service was great as we got there when it opened and the female waiting staff were very hospitable. It would have been nicer to have a busier restaurant to eat at but I think we got out for dinner too early. Highly recommend to eat at with a lovely ambiance 🎶
26/10/2023: The two of us walked in without a reservation right when it opened at 7 p.m. and were offered a table on the terrace. We had a very good bottle of Ligurian white wine from the wine list, (30€, absolutely reasonable). Dishes were recommended to us but not foisted upon us and we opted for two antipasti and two secondi (Branzino and grilled Calmar), followed by tiramisu and panna cotta with pistachio and two glasses of Sciacchettrà, one on the house! All dishes were “the best from the simple”, perfectly cooked and with good ingredients. Both ladies in service were competent, funny and charming. We had a great evening!

08/11/2023: Recorriendo la bella Porto Venere nos encontramos con este lugar de pocas mesas pero que, a pesar de la espera porque no teníamos reserva, valió la pena. La decoración impacta. Muy buena atención. Las preparaciones son muy gourmet. Recomendable probar el pulpo y los calamari scottati. Para paladares entendidos.
17/09/2023: We designed our typical three course meal, sharing each course. We chose to experiment a bit as it was lunch, the prices were quite reasonable, and the restaurant had good reviews on Google. Frankly, we do not rely on TripAdvisor reviews for restaurants in Europe as it is a very seldom used tool. We opened with the charcuterie board which was quite varied and extensive. Without even noticing, our server we filled our bread bag. Our pasta course was a house specialty which had an almost crepe like pasta base will 3 different sauces. One of the sauces was really interesting, one okay, and one pretty bland. Our second course was steamed octopus in a puree of potatoes and bean. I believe it was very appropriately prepared, not chewy, with a pretty pretty subtle taste profile. Can't say we will order octopus again as it just doesn't do the trick or either my wife or I.
