Diner with my love. It’s a cold night here in Gallipoli, 20 degrees but with a cold wind coming from the sea! Totani are a type of flying squid, similar to calamari, but they are not the same. While both are common in Italian cuisine and often confused, they have distinct differences in texture, flavor, and how they are best prepared. As an entrée. Tagliolini pesce spade con curvumen and swordfish for me.

Eating here was an extraordinary experience. We came here for lunch on a beautiful day, which certainly contributed to the magical atmosphere. We ate excellent raw and cooked appetizers, and all the first courses were unique and delicious. We could taste the flavor of the sea in every dish. The sorbet was delicious too! The staff were truly kind and helpful, and the place is very quaint with a breathtaking view.

Geared toward tourists. Tight seating, fast service. Service very tourist-oriented. Food okay/good. I probably wouldn't visit this restaurant again.

Le restaurant est bien situé, avec une belle vue et une ambiance agréable. Le service est professionnel et efficace. Les plats sont bons, sans être exceptionnels. En revanche, les prix sont très élevés pour ce qui est proposé. On a le sentiment de surtout payer l’emplacement plutôt que la qualité culinaire.

Una piacevolissima serata , ben consigliati da un’amica del posto ! Innanzitutto la cortesia e la disponibilità del personale : davvero encomiabile . Poi la qualità è la bontà dei piatti serviti , ottima qualità del pescato e bravura nella preparazione delle pietanze . Quando torneremo a Gallipoli non mancheremo di visitare nuovamente La Puritate ! Bravissimi !

30/11/2025: We were there a month ago, we ate very well, I, who am gluten intolerant, ate a pasta s/g with clams which was nothing short of fabulous.
15/11/2025: We were at the restaurant last year and had a wonderful time. For this reason, we decided to return this year, and the experience was once again excellent. The food is very good, delicious dishes of excellent quality, fresh fish carefully prepared by the owner's mother. This time we ate: raw red prawns, octopus, a couple of different pasta dishes, pasticciotto cake, homemade limoncello—all delicious! But what makes the restaurant even more special, besides the little square it overlooks, is the owner's warm welcome, his wife's attentive service, and the professionalism and expertise of the two family members in the dining room, who made us feel at home and ensured a wonderful evening.
