Ogni anno veniamo qui ed è una garanzia di qualità! Pesce freschissimo antipasti succulenti e primi da leccarsi i baffi: pasta ai ricci o al nero di seppia per non parlare della bottarga o delle vongole. Come antipasti i nostri preferiti sono gamberetti marinati caponata e cozze o polpo o sarde uno meglio dell’altro. Prezzi onestissimi e poi Salvo e Ignazio sono gentilissimi e simpaticissimi. Insomma altamente raccomandato non a caso esiste dal 1814 ! 😉

Trattoria located in the middle of the Catania fish market. Family atmosphere and very friendly waiter. Fresh fish at honest prices. More than positive experience. Highly recommended

Just liked the look of this place it had the feel that locals might eat there, which they do, everywhere else seemed to be aimed at the tourists. The waiter was great communicative and friendly. The food was outstanding the Pasta alla Norma was superb, rich deep tomato sauce with velvety aubergines and linguine cooked perfectly. Pasta alla Norma was high on my list for Sicily and La Paglia more than satisfied.The house wine at €10 a bottle was very good. Buonissimo

Honestly this place was great! Not much to look at, served on paper plates, but the octopus caponata and squid were amazing. Excellent food at a good price!

11/08/2024: Una serata da sogno, più che una cena è un’esperienza sensoriale immersi nel silenzio e abbracciati dallo splendido scenario del territorio dell’Etna. Personale impeccabile e grande attenzione a non far mancare nulla alle mie figlie di 5 e 8 anni. Tantissimi assaggi offerti dallo chef, vere e proprie coccole. Consigliatissimo
18/07/2024: Eccellente, per chi vuole mangiare benissimo, godere del silenzio e dei profumi dell’Etna. Il menù degustazione terra è quasi una scelta obbligata, poiché “spiega” il territorio al palato. La cifra dello chef è il limone, col quale firma con equilibrio le portate.

28/07/2024: Only one word can describe this restaurant in all its forms.. Uniko.. we will be back....... special thanks to the owner who treated us with kid gloves even though we hadn't booked in ten minutes they arranged the table for us. ...a truly beautiful place and the photos describe everything....
