Trattoria in the historic center of Catania, very close to the fish market. Not particularly crowded, probably because of the season. The service and hospitality were excellent, but what I ate, at very reasonable prices, wasn't to my liking. Appetizer: sardines a beccafico Excellent Main course: mussel soup Cooked a few hours before serving, and reheated before serving. The mussels were dry, tough, and tasteless. I'm a professional chef, so I know what I'm talking about, which justifies the review. Truly a shame, because they could offer excellent traditional dishes. 2 sardines a beccafico 1 mussel soup 1 bottle of natural mineral water 1 coffee €17.00

This trattoria is so authentic. Delicious fish dishes, good house wine, a very convivial atmosphere in a rustic setting, and a truly original owner. You simply must eat here.

30/01/2026: I'm from Catania but live in the Veneto region. I went the second weekend of January with friends from the Veneto region. I'd seen a TikTok video and promised myself I'd go, so I did. A rustic place, excellent food, I made a great impression on my friends. Apart from a plate of pasta alla Norma (very much appreciated and praised), the rest was all fish. The food was very good, generous portions, and the bill was fair. We'll be back. P.S. I can't forget Giusi, who was hospitable, kind, and friendly. What can I say? 🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝❤️
07/12/2025: A cozy place, easy to get to, quick service, and excellent food. We ordered the fish aperitif for two and there was nothing left. We'll definitely be back to try the meat aperitif.
