Trattoria La Baita In Milano

I didn't know I was being racially discriminated against because he was smiling kindly, but as time passed, I think it was subtle racism. I think it's because all the employees are old white men. I really liked the Italian restaurant run by other young people. If you don't want to spend money and ruin the mood of your trip, don't go to an Asian restaurant. The food doesn't taste that good. Now I see that there are often reviews that say they felt racial discrimination. Employees need to sense the problem and change their behavior. When I walked in, all the tables were empty. I walked up to the employee to sit by the window, but the employee gave me a quick tap and made me sit inside instead of by the window. I was a bit surprised that there was no reservation sign for the window seat, but I was grateful and sat down. However, all the Western white people behind me were shown to the window seats. I heard that there is subtle racism like this these days. And I and other Asians who appeared to be Indian were all seated inside a narrow table rather than by the window. (The number of people at each table was the same, whether by the window or inside.) And the other white tables by the window were served bread before the meal, but we were served bread about 5 minutes after our food came out without even apologizing for being late. Whether the staff intended it or not, it was my first meal after arriving in Italy and it was not a very pleasant experience. From now on, I hope that when you guide people to their seats, they will also allow Asians to sit by the window. Also, it would have been nice if there had been an apology or explanation for the late pre-dinner bread. I would appreciate it if you would pay a little more attention to the feelings of Asians who always have no choice but to compare the service with that of other white tables.

If you are near the central station of Milan and are looking for a good restaurant with fast service, Hostaria La Baita is a more than right choice. Fast and friendly service, also ideal for those who have little time but don't want to give up a good meal. We tasted two classics of Milanese cuisine: ossobuco and risotto Milanese and schnitzel Milanese, both well prepared, tasty and served with care. A special mention goes to the mayonnaise made by them, truly excellent and perfect for accompanying the dishes. A welcoming place, recommended for those who want to taste local cuisine without going too far from the station

Se siete nei pressi della stazione centrale di Milano e cercate un ristorante buono e con servizio veloce, Hostaria La Baita è una scelta più che azzeccata. Servizio veloce e cordiale, ideale anche per chi ha poco tempo ma non vuole rinunciare a un buon pasto. Abbiamo assaggiato due classici della cucina milanese: ossobuco e risotto alla milanese e cotoletta alla milanese, entrambi ben preparati, saporiti e serviti con cura. Una menzione speciale va alla maionese fatta da loro, davvero ottima e perfetta per accompagnare i piatti. Un locale accogliente, consigliato per chi vuole gustare la cucina locale senza allontanarsi troppo dalla stazione

Great service, good food. A little too bright lights, but a very clean place

Excellent. This restaurant was recommended by my hotel, Hotel Bristol, just round the corner and near Milan Central Station. No music, no TV, just courteous service and tasty traditional food. As a woman travelling alone I felt very comfortable, I asked for a small table in the corner and the waiter was happy to oblige. I went twice, and shall definitely go back again

Location easily reachable on foot from the central station. The room is large and well lit. Privacy is respected, there is the right distance between one table and another. The staff proved to be affable and professional. The menu includes classic traditional Milanese dishes and beyond. We tried the schnitzel with potatoes... very good. Excellent value for money. We recommend it!

Siamo stati in questo locale su consiglio di un amico. E devo dire che abbiamo mangiato un risotto alla milanese eccezionale e una cotoletta super. E in più le patate chipster che fanno loro sono ottime. Torneremo molto presto.

We have a great dinner at La Baita. The appetizers with typical Piamontese hams were great. Risotto of sea food was really good. And Tiramisù for dessert is the best choice possible. I really love the possible of buy half a bottle of wine. Staff is great, and the place is excellent. We definitely will come back.
