A welcoming trattoria with excellent dishes! The crostini are truly special, starting at €1 each, with various vegetarian options. The staff are incredibly kind and genuine. Even though it was the off-season and the village was deserted, this place made us feel right at home!

A delightful discovery at this little restaurant.
We were greeted super warmly by the waiter! Excellent, high-quality food. The only small flaw for my tastes, given that I'm a foodie and that evening there was an off-menu dish: the beef tartar, not chopped by hand but completely blended.
Otherwise, everything was excellent; I'd love to go back!

If you happen to be passing through Castiglione D'Orcia and it's almost lunchtime, you absolutely have to stop by Cassero.
Excellent food, professional service, a simple location yet immersed in a beautiful village rich in history.
We were welcomed and served by a mother and daughter, both super professional! Congratulations!
I recommend trying all their crostini (€1 per crostini, for €9 you get a top-notch appetizer), and I also recommend the pici, cooked perfectly!!! You can choose from a variety of toppings. You're spoiled for choice!!
The wine is also spectacular!!! Wide selection of glasses and bottles.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! ❤️😎
