Oh my, what a wonderful meal I had the pleasure of enjoying. Let's start with the friendly waiter, with his typical Sicilian appearance and physiognomy. Then I ordered 2 Norma and a pasta with tomato sauce for my two children. The photo shows the splendid and delicious Pasta alla Norma. PLENTY TO SAY THE LEAST. EXCELLENT. THEN I MOVED ON TO A BEAUTIFUL AND DELICIOUS SWORDFISH SKEWER. EXCEPTIONAL. I ALSO HAD MY CHILDREN FOOD AN EXCELLENT VEAL SKEWER. TENDER AND FLAVORFUL. 62 PIECES IN ALL, INCLUDING WATER AND COVER CHARGE. COMPLIMENTS.

We decided to have lunch at Trattoria Don Nino, drawn by the aromas that waft along the street every day. It was a delightful discovery. At the end of lunch, we reflected on how it had been a long time since we'd eaten so well. Authentic flavors, friendly staff, and a location that pleasantly transports you back in time. It's definitely a goodbye!

We rediscover flavors that have long been lost. I ate the best stockfish and belly gluttony you could ask for in the Messina square. Typical cuisine, generous portions, top-quality products cooked grandma style. Today was the first time and I plan to return as soon as possible.

La Bifora Pizzeria Ristorante

15/10/2025: Small place (max 45 people), but that's okay. Scaletta Zanclea is a small town on the Messina/Catania coast, run by a husband and wife team. Egidia works as a waitress, and Mario is the excellent pizza chef. The pizzas are varied, the dough is very good and easy to digest, and the price is reasonable. If you're passing through Scaletta Zanclea, take advantage of it. It's definitely worth the effort. 😉
