I asked for risotto instead of pasta since we didn't have gluten-free pasta. The only risotto had butter, which I can't have, so I asked for it without butter, but the answer was no. The coffee tasted like water.

The atmosphere is reminiscent of a traditional village trattoria, with an interior featuring dated but perfectly maintained furnishings and an outdoor patio (enclosed with glass doors in the fall and winter).
The welcome and service were friendly and prompt, and the service, always with a smile, made our lunch even more enjoyable.
The four of us shared two plates of cured meats with a single portion of torta fritta (small and well-cooked), a portion of pumpkin, four first courses (the apricot and saffron tortelli were excellent, I'd never tried them before; they were delicate and a good pairing, with homemade pasta of a nice thickness and flavor), four second courses (the rabbit was delicious), and two slices of cake (the red cake was excellent, like the one I ate as a kid in the 1980s).
Drinks included water and a half-liter of white wine from a carafe, with coffee at the end.
We spent €40 each, not cheap but not crazy either.
I'll be back.

The menu offers a few dishes, but they're carefully selected and refined, using top-quality products.
Recommended, from appetizers to desserts, from dessert to digestif and coffee.

Overall, it's a meal not to be missed. Good food, traditional cuisine presented in unconventional recipes, top-quality cured meats. Mrs. Ravanetti is very good at her job and very hospitable. And then... in Langhirano, Trattoria della Gallina is an institution...

I found this place by chance. I was in Parma. I called, thinking I was running late—almost 2 PM—and the kind reply was: "I'll set up a table for you!" A TRATTORIA in the best sense of the word. Impeccable service, dishes expertly prepared, with fried porcini mushrooms and ricotta and spinach ravioli. But the real surprise for anyone who loves TRIPPA is trying a version they only make there, in one place. Tripe in green parsley, a touch of garlic, and no tomato.
A MUST-TRY. Then there's the wine details: Lambrusco at the perfect temperature and quality, and the textbook homemade desserts: coffee and grappa. 18 Monday.
What can I say? I'll definitely be back, and I recommend trying Trattoria della Gallina!

Excellent trattoria, we were greeted with great courtesy and helpfulness despite having made a reservation on a Sunday only ten minutes beforehand. Generous dishes, excellent platters, and a truly good house wine. The prices are fair: we ordered a cheese platter, a charcuterie board, a first course each, wine, and coffee...highly recommended!
