Informal atmosphere, great prices. Excellent food. Don't miss the sea-green spaghetti, which made me dream.
A medium appetizer cost €5, which we shared, two oysters, and two generously portioned first courses. Two large bottles of water, a Coke, and two coffees for a total of €43. I recommend going early to avoid the line. We wanted to return in the evening, but had to give it a miss. I left my heart there.

Well, what can I say? It's a Catania institution where most dishes are ordered by the course. However, it's not even worth going without booking two weeks in advance. Or, you can do the true Sicilian thing and just go without a reservation and easily wait an hour while enjoying an aperitif on a stool 😉

One of the best trattorias in Catania. Very simple dishes but very well made. Fresh seafood, of course, and authentic Sicilian cuisine. 'Linguine del chef' is a must, but everything is good. There’s something special behind every dish.

I called this afternoon around 6:30 PM to make a reservation. They answered and explained that they don't take reservations, and that the line is on a first-come, first-served basis. I was about to give up, but I read the reviews... at 8:00 PM, I was there. A table for four was available. We sat down. We ordered a Sicilian-style appetizer to be placed in the center of the table, four first courses, and... the guy taking our order advised us to wait because the first courses were large. In the meantime, all the tables were taken.
Everything was delicious, generous portions, and above all, the staff was incredibly efficient and kind. Excellent in everything. Now I have my favorite place in Catania.

Very affordable restaurant with good food and really good wines at low prices. Recommend booking a table as it fills up quickly.
However, the carbonara did not quite live up to expectations, it was a bit watery, lacked parmesan and there were no salt or pepper mills, only portion bags. The service was also stressful; we had to remind ourselves about both cutlery and napkins and it was difficult to get in touch with the staff
