Trattoria da Romano In Venezia

The island of Burano is a gem worth a visit, just like this Trattoria da Romano!! We felt welcomed, cared for, and advised with a smile. We enjoyed grilled fish, excellent wine, and finally, a delicious homemade tiramisu. This restaurant honors Italian cuisine, and our server (competent and discreet) even spoke French to guide us in our choices. Time seemed to stand still in this place where so many famous people have come to dine. I highly recommend it!!

Absolutely fantastic. The pasta of the day was incredible pesto. Some of the best I’ve ever had. The waiter was fantastic and gave great recommendations. We also got the grilled eel and it practically melted in your mouth. Highly recommend but the hours on Google are wrong

This location is definitely worth a visit and a meal. Nice dishes, friendly service and nice atmosphere + atmosphere.

Amazing tiramisu, very nice service

We had a really great time! A historic family-run restaurant, where you immediately feel at home. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, you can see that they do this job with passion and love. In fact, they were the ones – enthusiastic and proud – who wanted to show us the kitchen, a gesture that struck us and made us very happy. The fish was very fresh, local and cooked very well. Highly recommended!

Excellent restaurant. I wouldn’t go to Burano specifically to eat here, but if you’re already on the island, it’s definitely worth it.

Wonderful food and experience. The risotto was one of the best we’ve had! A must try. We also had the mixed fish grilled and fried. You can taste the freshness of the food. Delicious all around.

Ci siamo fermati per un pranzo. Possibilità di pranzare all'aperto sulla piazza o nella sala interna. Risotto al nero di seppia buono. Purtroppo nel nostro caso il servizio è stato veramente lungo. Da migliorare il servizio ai tavoli.

Wandering around Burano and it was a lovely day so we thought we’d have lunch sat outside in the sun. The waiter asked ‘inside or outside’ and we said outside. There was a table for three laid up in the sun so we asked if we could sit there. Apparently not as we were only two people and there were three tables for two in the shade so we were directed to one of them. Just as we sat down another couple asked to sit at the table for three and were given it - despite two shaded tables still being free. There was plenty of choice on the menu - I had Bresaola, rocket and Parmesan and my husband had a seafood linguine. Food was delivered quickly and was tasty. Waiter was a bit grumpy throughout our visit and everything seemed to be too much trouble for him which made us feel a bit uncomfortable asking for anything. Inside is really large and the decor is lovely. Lots of old photographs on the walls. Plenty of staff milling about too.
