Trattoria Da Franco In Parma

Convenient location with private parking and close to the fair.

Yesterday I called Franco's restaurant and guesthouse to book a room for four days for two adults and a dog. They had availability; I'd read in the service section that pets were allowed. They told me the dog had to be on a leash because they also have three. No problem, I replied. They asked me what breed it was—Bernese Mountain Dog—and they said, "No, it's not too big." It's not written that pets are allowed if you have to differentiate between breeds. The Bernese Mountain Dog is a very sweet dog, a great sitter, who loves people and family, and is not at all aggressive. I tell the restaurant and guesthouse owners that they have three dogs but they certainly don't like small animals. Being rejected because you have a large dog is uncivilized.

This trattoria was a pleasant surprise! The cuisine is meticulously prepared and the results are excellent; the tortelli and duck were excellent. Everything was served with such courtesy and expertise, which is uncommon... The quality-price ratio was excellent. Highly recommended!

Beautiful restaurant, typical Parma food, especially the torta fritta and cured meats.

Quiet country hide away. Room & bath were fine. Food was great & we didn't need to search Parma for s good restaurant.

I had lunch at Franco's with a group of 12 rowdy friends... Kind, helpful and patient staff. Franco in the kitchen is number 1 Salami and torta fritta to die for! First courses of homemade pasta exceptional, duck wow!! There was also a misunderstanding about the wine chosen (we ordered a Montecucco for €18 and they brought us the Riserva for €30, once we did the bill and pointed it out they charged us the €18) Rare gesture vote dieshi Marco

Abbiamo pranzato in questa trattoria, situata poco fuori Parma. Cucina tipica parmigiana , di ottima qualità. Personale cordiale. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
