I follow them on Instagram, and I think: as soon as I get the chance, I'll go and try their cuisine. Today, September 4, I had dinner there, and I have to say they far exceeded my expectations!! My daughter and I cleaned our plates...perfect! Thanks to Angela's advice, she's an excellent advisor! I recommend everyone to stop by and try their specialties 😍😍😍

The food is reliable, even if the carpaccio is overly smoked. Excellent service, but perhaps a price tag would have been appropriate. We could pay €50 for a child's sea bass. Overall, the food was good, but the prices were excessive.

A Half-Experience in Mondello
Trattoria da Enzo, located in Mondello's picturesque square, immediately catches the attention of passersby with its display of fresh fish.
A promise of quality that, unfortunately, isn't fully delivered once you're seated at a table.
The outdoor setting, despite its beautiful location, is made "rough" by the use of plastic tablecloths, a detail that clashes with the idea of a high-end restaurant, especially considering the prices charged.
And here we come to the sore point: the bill.
While acknowledging the good quality and well-prepared dishes, the prices are decidedly disproportionate.
For example: a pasta dish ranging from 18 to 30 euros is excessive, even for a tourist destination.
The Perception of Unequal Treatment
The aspect that leaves the most bitter taste is the distinct sensation of a dual pricing policy.
Seeing how locals order and eat the dishes (from appetizer to dessert, a restaurant should charge around €150 per person based on the menu), one gets the feeling that tourists are treated differently than locals, with a final bill that seems unjustified and, in some ways, unfair to tourists. (It's a perception.)
This unpleasant feeling isn't an isolated case, but rather seems to be a common practice in several local establishments, as if there were a conspiracy among restaurateurs to "fleece" visitors.
This situation feels like a lack of hospitality and transparency that undermines trust and the overall experience.
In short, Trattoria da Enzo offers good quality dishes, but the experience is ruined by the unbalanced quality-price ratio and the perceived lack of transparency towards tourists.
A real shame, because there is potential.

Just one word: THANK YOU! We came here for a romantic dinner. The restaurant is located on the seafront and has a wonderful atmosphere, with people strolling by and the sound of the waves in the background. We were served by Orazio, a man who loves his job and it shows. He knows how to welcome customers and cater to their needs with great knowledge and skill. And what can I say about the fish... DELICIOUS!!! I think I'll dream about that platter forever. The prices are worthy of the quality of the food they offer. The only flaw is that the tables are too close together, but that doesn't matter, you gave us a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it.

Nothing to complain about the food, there was just one mistake. We asked for a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. A few seconds later, the waiter came back to ask if it was a cocktail or a tartare, and we confirmed it. Unfortunately, we received a tartare, and once it arrived, we were sorry to have to send it back.
That said, they still charged us €25 for it.

Unparalleled value for money, we felt right at home from the first minute. Great attention is paid to gluten-free options, too. Mrs. Angela lights up Mondello Square with her smile. Special mention goes to the waiter, Orazio, whose professionalism and friendliness are hard to find in other restaurants from North to South. Exceptional, highly recommended!
