Little hidden pearl in Milan. You‘re expected to have fantastic Risotto in Milan pretty much everywhere, but Casa Fontana takes you to a different level. Congrats!

Casa Fontana is the only true place in Milan where you can choose from a wide variety of freshly made risottos, made with great care and skill. The relaxing atmosphere makes for a pleasant dinner, not just for the food. Mr. Fontana is a delightful person, who knows how to welcome his guests with discretion and kindness, along with his highly professional staff. This restaurant is one of the few authentic Milanese traditions.

I used to visit 23 Risotti often in the '90s and early 2000s, and recently returned for my mum's 70th birthday lunch - it was just as exceptional as I remembered! The risottos are beautifully balanced and full of depth, each one a reminder of why this place has stood the test of time. Roberto, the chef and owner, is as warm and gracious as ever, his professionalism and passion shine through in every detail. A true Milanese treasure.

Small but nice place. Very kind and helpful staff. Meatballs with beans very good, we tried a saffron risotto with sausage, good but not wow, same thing for the Milanese cutlet.

Excellent service and perhaps the best risotto we have ever had! We each had a starter and the risotto. The staff also spoke good English, which helps if you don't speak Italian. It's not very noticeable, but this restaurant is open (don't forget to ring the doorbell). We even got a recipe book, but unfortunately we left it behind. I will send an email about this :) Tips: maybe use appropriate music for the ambience and dim the lights a little so that the nice lamps on the tables can do their job better.

09/09/2025: Nice, very quiet place 10 minutes from the metro and near a park, the atmosphere is very calm and quiet, even the lights and colors are warm and give a feeling of relaxation, excellent desserts and with a lot of variety, also the staff is very kind and helpful, much appreciated
