On the way to our destination, faced with a 6km long traffic jam and given that it was lunchtime, we decided to stop following the recommendations of Osterie d'Italia. Our choice of this Cantone trattoria in Carpi turned out to be an excellent one: excellent food quality, fair prices, and friendly, fast, and personable service that adapts to the pace of each person's meal. The food is authentic and well-prepared.
It's not just a good stop for lunch during a trip: it's a place worth going to specifically for lunch. In fact, the trattoria has slowly filled up, confirming its popularity.

We had dinner on a Saturday and had our dog with us. Highly recommended, the place has a welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff (they let us choose a quieter spot for our dog), friendly and fast service, and superb food (we had gnocco fritto with cured meats and cheeses and two first courses, and everything was excellent). The coffee is excellent too.

Good trio of first courses. The garganelli and tortelli were good, but the paccheri were dry and lacking in sauce.
The portions were small, but luckily they added a portion of tortelli.
The gnocco and tigelle weren't exceptional.

Personale carinissimo e disponibile, posto bello, accogliente e ben decorato. Siamo venuti per caso e abbiamo fatto proprio una bella scoperta. La pasta al ragù di costine una delle paste più buone che abbia mai mangiato. Consigliato!
