Fabulous place found by chance, fast service and with a smile, beef fillet with Amarone, delicious butter and sauce, extra baked potato dish and pastisada di caval with polenta so fabulous that we took a portion to take home....

The food was simply excellent, and I was quite surprised by the price; they could charge more for this quality.

An amazing find just out of the main strip of Verona. A great mixture of traditional foods and food that you'll recognise. The couple that run the place dont speak much if any English so you have to fit in with them, the waiter in glasses however is an absolute gem and was more than happy to recommend wines and dishes. On our first visit we had the risotto, he proclaimed best in the world and he wasnt wrong. Yes, its a bit drier than western risotto but it is absolutely amazing. The one downside is you have to convince your other quests to also have it. Second trip, we had Horse Gnocchi and Duck alongside a simple antipasti and the we would absolutely recommend the gnocchi 👌👌👌 Amarone hits like a truck. The risotto is amazing and it was an amazing experience.

It's our favorite restaurant. Not only because it is one of the few to join the "Club Corriere" program (and others) which includes a 50% discount voucher, which is no small feat, but because it is worth going there even at full price. First of all, the food is delicious and the main dish, boiled meats with pearà, is crazy. The environment is small and intimate and you feel like you are at home. The manager, the chef's brother, knows what he's doing and the 2 lively parents are very affable and often stop at the tables to have a chat or to let you taste something good. Excellent wines (especially Valpolicella) in the best Veronese tradition. Honest prices considering the high level of the cuisine. Reservation is essential given the few seats and the large number of customers

Excellent welcome, all the staff with a smile! delicious dishes, generous portions and honest prices! They even managed to make the baby's butter pasta delicious! Super satisfied! Ho cenato in questa trattoria proprio di fronte all'arco dei Gavi Sabato scorso, in occasione di una cena tra colleghi di lavoro e devo dire che sono rimasto molto sorpreso! Per essere situato in pieno centro mi aspettavo una trattoria più "acchiappa turisti" con prezzi molto alti e qualità del cibo mediocre ed invece ho ritrovato un locale molto frequentato dai veronesi e con un menù davvero interessante e ben fatto. Noi abbiamo optato per i bolliti della tradizione con la pearà, ma ho notato con piacere che anche gli altri piatti che passavano erano davvero interessanti e tornerò senz'altro per provarli! Per quanto riguarda il bollito era un buon piatto con delle eccellenze (tipo il prosciutto di Praga affumicato) e la pearà non era male. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è davvero ottimo ed il personale è gentile ed alla mano come le trattorie di un tempo. Una piacevole sorpresa in centro storico!
