Excellent trattoria, I was pleasantly surprised. You actually don't expect to find a trattoria/restaurant specializing in fish in the center of Caltagirone. And what fish! Everything is very fresh and delicious, prepared with masterly skill by an extraordinary chef. The service is also excellent. In short, if you are looking for a high-level restaurant, with affordable prices, this is the right place, trust me!

Non è facile trovare all’interno una trattoria dove si mangia ottimo pesce, ma qui è così. Senza considerare la posizione ottima,la gentilezza del personale e la velocità del servizio. Da ritornarci.

Arrivati a Caltagirone per il ritiro di alcune ceramiche ordinate giorni a dietro, abbiamo pensato di fare un salto in questo piccolo ma pulito e accogliente posticino. Un tagliere e un primo piatto buoni con sapori tutti tipici nostri siciliani. Arrivati con 10 minuti di anticipo ci hanno comunque fatto accomodare molto gentilmente. Frequentato da turisti e persone locali.

Anima e Core, a charming trattoria in the historic center of Caltagirone. Excellent, fresh raw materials cooked to perfection. If you have chosen Calatino for a walk out of town, you cannot miss going to taste something truly good, well cooked and presented as it should be.

A nice restaurant, the staff don’t speak English but it was still quite easy to communicate.
From the dishes we ordered we liked the grilled octopus best - it was tender, not gummy and with a crisp from the grill.
