In the center of Verona, one of the historic restaurants. Good food. Prices are a bit high, but fair for the location and quality of the ingredients.

Our group had a fantastic meal at Al Pompiere during our stay in Verona. Reservations required but worth it. Upscale and authentic dishes from the area were delicious and the staff was very kind. The wine list was extensive as well.

The food and service here were excellent. Plenty of great dishes to choose from, had a great bottle of Amarone, and their tiramisu was the best I'd ever had. It's in the city center but tucked away on a side street. Small intimate setting. Highly recommend.

It's not the first time we go and every time you are amazed by the quality of the food

We had a nice and generous antipasto to share followed by a disappointing risotto amarone. The risotto asparagus however was delightful. The wine selection was broad and matched the decor. The tiramisu was wonderful. It’s a busy place, full of action but mostly from the guests as the wait staff were just going about their business - yawn. The place looks like it has personality but it’s likely the former owner with the all important hospitality gene sadly left the building. Perhaps I’m a bit too critical but, hey… that’s what we experienced.

The dishes were just fine, except for the pasta with mushrooms which was very soft (far from al dente), and tasted like canned soup.

Was very busy, we had to wait for more then 20 min, even with a reservation. Service was busy. Risotto was excellent. Got late, as we could only sit down at 22.00 and service was slow. The normally offered limoncello didn't make it to our table, as we had 4 courses and at the end we were the last ones.. unfortunately not the normal high light ..

A simply fantastic experience today at Pompiere. The service was very friendly and courteous. The food was simply excellent (and great value) and every plate was cleared! Fegato the star dish. We will return. Thank you!🤩 ❤️

Ogni volta che passiamo da Verona, "al Pompiere " è per noi una tappa d'obbligo.Il ristorante si trova a due passi da piazza delle Erbe ma in una viuzza latrerale non percorsa dalle fiumane di turisti che riempiono la città in qualsiasi stagione dell'anno. All'interno l'atmosfera è calda e accogliente, in qualsiasi periodo dell'anno. Il personale attento e gentilissimo, i tempi d'attesa non eccessivi anche quando il locale è pieno. Questa sera abbiamo scelto un antipasto di asparagi bianchi e verdi con frittatina, una crema di piselli con taccole a dir poco favolosa e un piatto di gnocchi con finferli. Quindi siamo passati direttamente al dessert e abbiamo preso un semifreddo all'amaretto su zabaione al Vinsanto e polvere di caffè, anche questa superlativa. Complimenti allo chef per tutto, con un piccolo appunto agli gnocchi dove l'eccesso di burro copriva quasi del tutto il sapore dei finferli. A parte questo, il ristorante "al Pompiere" si rivela sempre un'ottima scelta. Prezzi piuttosto sostenuti ma in linea con la qualità.
