Trattoria Al Pompiere In Verona

Based on previous reviews, I made a reservation for lunch here. It was okay, but quite busy. There's a lot of staff running around and not always keeping the right timing at your table. The dishes themselves are good, especially the ham starter is delicious. The pastas are tasty, but cooked softly instead of al dente.

The food was absolutely fantastic; the risotto was the best I’ve ever had anywhere and a meal I’ll think about for a long time. The food doesn’t make up for the atmosphere though. We had one waiter who was very cold and treated us like he didn’t want us there at all. We felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave as soon as we could.

They really have the best tiramisu. Everting else is not bad but nothing special.

We arrived at Trattoria al Pompiere without a reservation and the place was completely full. Despite this, Gaia, with rare kindness and professionalism, immediately found us a table with a smile that was already worth half the service 😊😊 The welcome was excellent and I also want to thank the entire team and the chef: we ate divinely, delicious dishes with attention to detail. A place where the quality of the food combines with human warmth. Congratulations to everyone!!! We will definitely be back.

A truly remarkable trattoria. Exquisite food, professional and welcoming staff, a very characteristic venue. The highlight, in my opinion, is the selection of cheeses. But from appetizers to dessert, there was nothing I wouldn't dare describe as sublime. Highly recommended.

Every time I go to Verona, I absolutely have to stop by. Simple, traditional dishes.

Abbiamo iniziato con una deliziosa parmigiana di melanzane, preparata con cura e servita con eleganza. Gli spaghettoni con pomodorini freschi e scaglie di formaggio erano un inno alla semplicità ben fatta: saporiti, equilibrati, perfetti. Tra gli antipasti, anche un grande classico della cucina veneta: baccalà mantecato con seppie al nero, un contrasto sorprendente e riuscitissimo. Il piatto che più ci ha colpiti? Il fegato alla veneziana con cipolle e polenta: tenero, saporito, avvolgente. Un’esecuzione impeccabile che profuma di casa e memoria. Ad accompagnare il tutto, il Focara Pinot Nero 2021 della Fattoria Mancini – un rosso elegante e fresco, perfettamente in armonia con il menù. Finale con classe: Grappa di Amarone prodotta esclusivamente per il locale dalla Distilleria Scaramellini. Un distillato potente ma rotondo, profondo, che racconta la Valpolicella in ogni sorso. Somos um grupo de onze amigos que aqui viemos celebrar o aniversário de um. Excelente restaurante que combina o ambiente clássico com uma qualidade irrepreensível. De realçar o corte das carnes fumadas é um exclusivo desta casa. Os restantes pratos surpreendem-nos pela positiva. O serviço muito amistoso, diria perfeito.
