Very close to the cathedral (VERY tourist area). Very good traditional Italian food, with excellent service and atmosphere and a price that is not excessively expensive. I recommend the carbonara or the tomato paste with anchovy, a delight

My family and I had the pleasure of having dinner in this excellent restaurant, found somewhat by chance, located a few steps from the Norman palace. We had the pleasure of discovering a welcoming, intimate and refined environment; served by attentive and kind staff, with delicious dishes to say the least… Wonderful experience to absolutely do again!!

Great restaurant in Palermo. Nice service and tasty food. It's a bit pricy, but it's definitely worth it if you want to have an elegant lunch or dinner.

Wifey and I have been travelling Sardinia and Sicily for 12 days, Palermo was our final stop and we stumbled across the restaurant as it was close to our Airbnb and we needed somewhere to eat and refresh before checking in. From the start the two ladies were very engaging, it was early for lunch but room was wonderful and cool. We shared different courses over two lunches (the only place we went back to on our travels). The stand out was the spaghetti Vescera, beautifully cooked pasta with a wonderful sauce/emulsion to coat the pasta. Also the picked sardines, fresh with a citrus hit. The meatballs were a revelation, I have never had such a dish. They were perfectly cooked meatballs with deep tomato sauce and a chiffonade of basil and mint. But when you touch the meat with the fork they gently fall apart to reveal almost a medium rare texture, light and wonderfully flavoured with some of the usual meatball ingredients but somewhat unusually a lightness of cardamon, raisin and pine nuts. The sauce is beautiful and deliciously moorish with freshly cut sesame bread. I understood from the manager/owner that it was his grandmother's recipe and hence the name 'le polpette della nonna'. It was completely different to any meatball dish I have ever tasted and having just returned I can't stop researching how best to replicate the dish. After 10-12 days travelling the islands, this restaurant helped me understand how lunch and dinner can be an Italian multi course event, the portions are medium size and just keep you wanting more as the flavour is wonderful. Similar previous restaurants dishes are just too large to enjoy a starter, first and second course IMHO. We loved it and would gladly go back, it is a little more expensive than Palermo's Italian restaurants but worth every cent. I am shocked it is not in the top 5-10 restaurants in the city but if you are a foodie you must visit. WOW.

A Palermo per lavoro ho pranzato ai Normanni per una settimana, provando quasi tutto il menu. E' stato un piacere. Ho apprezzato tutti i piatti provati, e in particolare le sarde a beccafico. I piatti sono risultati oltre che piacevoli, anche digeribili, la qual cosa, dovendo lavorare dopo pranzo con il caldo che faceva, ho apprezzato molto. Il locale è piacevole e tranquillo. Musica in sottofondo, ma non invasiva. Il personale è molto gentile, efficiente e disponibile.

Nice atmosphere in this restaurant in a very old building. Excellent service but I cannot say the food worth five stars.

We had a dinner for two with a first course and dessert, well-prepared dishes and very pleasant as was the service, which was impeccable. Compliments to the chef and the very kind staff.
