Trattoria Ai Normanni In Palermo

Four of us had dinner: two with Smartbox and two of my guests. After reviewing the menu, we discovered that only a few appetizers and main courses were available that evening. My guests opted for only one first course: busiate pasta with Nebrodi pork sausage. The dishes arrived quickly, especially since there were very few of us in the dining room. The bill: €72.00 for two plates of busiate pasta and two tiramisu dishes for the guests. Furthermore, the total included two covers prepaid via Smartbox, which I found unfair. I didn't say anything. The food quality was average, with probably excessive salt use. The location could be improved, and the service was basic. On a positive note, the young cashier/waiter/handyman was courteous and helpful, although unfortunately not very knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, a decent experience, but with several aspects that need improvement.

I visited Ai Normanni in Palermo with two friends, and from the very first moment, the experience was genuinely pleasant. We were warmly welcomed by a young waiter who was not only extremely polite but also had Bossa Nova playing in the background... a musical choice that instantly resonated with us, especially knowing how iconic this genre is in Brazil. The service quickly went beyond formality. We ended up chatting about music and sports, which added a personal and memorable touch to the moment. Once we placed our order, the food arrived promptly, beautifully presented and even more delicious than expected. I chose a spaghetti, and it was exceptionally well prepared, rich in flavor, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. Although we didn’t order any drinks this time, the overall quality of the experience makes me confident that their beverage selection is just as thoughtfully curated. I wholeheartedly recommend Ai Normanni. It is a charming, cozy place that combines excellent service, inviting atmosphere, and very satisfying cuisine. The kind of restaurant you leave already planning to return to.

Delicious traditional Sicilian food, excellent service from the staff, reasonable wait time, and the food was served at the perfect temperature. Highly recommended. I would definitely return.

Exquisite dishes and flavors. Sicilian cuisine blending tradition and modernity. Visited three years ago, and it's still a delightful discovery. Professional and very pleasant service. Thank you.

The food here is pretty terrific, had the fava bean curd and the beef rolls as the main. Treated my partner’s allergies respectfully and fast, friendly and effective service.

food was good, but a bit pricey they have some very nice local wines special mention to the waiter who served us, he gave us recommendations about dishes and wine and treated us with great kindness we also loved the decoration and they were playing bossa nova, everything was very pleasant

Ate here on a Monday evening and I was one of two tables sat in the entire place and was the last to leave which made for a pretty flat experience. It’s a gorgeous restaurant tucked away in a courtyard across the street from Palazzo di Normanni. Staff were very friendly. I had the carbonara and I found it too salty.

Fantastic food and very friendly staff. We had a carbonara and a vegetarian pasta with orange zest and both dishes were magically delicious. Tiramisu for dessert, so well balanced. The house white and red were also full of flavour and smooth. Unfortunately it was just us and another couple there so it felt a bit lonely but that was definitely compensated by a very attentive and friendly waiter. We can really recommend a visit here!

very lovely owners/staff food was overall excellent the vibe I got was more experimental and innovative, rather than traditional Palermo which is what most tourists are looking for only not nice things were super bright white lights in the dining room in the evening
