A restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet easy to access and close to the cathedral. You'll discover thoughtful and delicious dishes. The plates are small, so for those with a hearty appetite, you can enjoy lunch like the Italians (starter, first and second courses, followed by dessert). A little pricey, but the ingredients are fresh, and you can taste it!

I enjoyed this place so much, I went twice during my short stay in Palermo! The food is full of flavor, and you can really tell how much care goes into each dish. The staff is incredibly friendly—while their English isn't perfect, the warm service and high-quality food more than make up for it. A real gem in a busy tourists city. Also they have gluten-free options.

After visiting the Royal Palace, despite the late hour, the staff welcomed us warmly. The attention to detail in the table setting and plating was outstanding, as was the quality of the ingredients. The fried cod served with caramelized onions was truly exquisite. The pasta with sardines was among the best we've had in Sicily, as was the one with pistachio pesto. The eggplant was light and artistically presented. We recommend it to anyone who wants to try traditional Sicilian dishes with a modern twist. Compliments to the chef.

Very good restaurant which, among other things, makes gluten intolerant people happy by offering a wide choice of dishes including gluten-free pasta.

Definitely recommend Ai Normanni. Fantastic pasta and great service. The restaurant is also perfectly located - offering a very nice outdoor seating with views over Villa Bonanno and Palazzo dei Normanni

Abbiamo scelto di cenare Ai Normanni sia per le ottime recensioni sia per la vicinanza al nostro alloggio a Palermo ed infatti siamo rimasti soddisfatti sia dalla bontà delle pietanze, che denota un eccellente grado di qualità nella scelta delle materie prime sia dallo staff, molto gentile e preparato ma i prezzi sono decisamente troppo elevati a nostro parere.

Restaurant très agréable avec une cuisine locale délicieuse. Les calamars sont un régal, cuits juste comme il faut et très tendres. Les pâtes sont excellentes et de nombreux plats utilisent des produits locaux. Les vins sont à l'avenant.

Offering a well-balanced selection of meat and seafood, the menu is diverse and delivers a true dining experience at very reasonable prices. The fish antipasti platters—both al crudo and cooked—bring the essence of the Mediterranean Sea straight to your table. Fresh, flavorful, and artfully presented, they set the tone for a memorable meal. Here, food truly becomes art, and flavor turns into an experience. Pasta dishes are served perfectly al dente and elegantly plated. We enjoyed carbonara al tartufo and bucatini all’amatriciana, followed by a beef fillet in gorgonzola sauce that was simply divine. The flavors blend harmoniously, and the cooking is spot on. If you’re looking for authentic cuisine, a welcoming atmosphere, and a peaceful dining setting, we highly recommend this gem.
