Pasta al dente, well seasoned. Generous seafood. Tastes like home-cooked food. The fries were dry, crispy and delicious. The medium-rare meat was very juicy. Great service! Great location. Fair price. I recommend it.

Trattoria in front of Genoa Piazza Principe station in the middle of the Grand hotel Astoria and hotel Continental. Very quaint and welcoming place. Friendly and professional staff. Varied menu and typical Ligurian cuisine. Good price, recommended restaurant

Managed to get a table without a réservation right before they started turning people away. Pesto gnocchi was great and steak with artichokes was delicious as well. A happy find.

Esta Trattoria muy cerca de la estación de tren de Piazza Principe me lo recomendó el hotel cercano en el que me alojaba, pero también había leído sobre ella en Internet. El lugar tiene un agradable interior tradicional y estaba bastante vacío, cuando fui allí. Hay interesantes especialidades de Liguria en oferta y fui por dos, que no había probado en visitas anteriores a Génova. Como entrada me decanté por 'Ravioli della tradizione al Tuccu Genovese', así con una salsa de carne en tomate. La carne no se pica como en la salsa boloñesa, sino que se hace con una pieza entera que se cocina lentamente durante horas, hasta que casi se desmorona. Finalmente parece una salsa con carne picada. El relleno de raviolis suele ser también con carne, pero aquí estaba -que yo recuerde- con ricota y espinacas. Como plato fuerte fui por 'Baccalà in zimino con bietole ripassate'. Así seco y salado el bacalao, que venía en una cama de garbanzos y patatas hervidas, coronada por acelgas suizas. En una visita anterior a Génova había pedido un plato local con 'Stoccafisso', así seco, pero no salado de bacalao. La idea de combinar garbanzos con pescado me pareció bastante extraña y definitivamente preferí mi entrante. Para beber tomé una copa de Vermentino (una uva de vino blanco de Liguria) y un cuarto de Vetusto (un vino tinto de Liguria). En lugar de un postre pedí un Espresso con una copa de Liquore di Pruni, un aguardiente dulce hecho en La Spezia (Liguria) de 'Prugnolo', por lo tanto Blackthorn. El servicio era profesional, pero frío y no muy acogedor o amable. Los dos hombres a cargo apenas tuvieron tiempo de responder a ninguna pregunta, aunque solo tres mesas estaban ocupadas, cuando estuvieron allí. Los platos, sin embargo, llegaron muy rápido.

100% recommendable. The pasta is very good. The service is very attentive and friendly. The place is very well decorated. My wife is gluten free and there is a good variety of pasta of very good quality and very tasty. I would come back here many more times.

Ristorante classico ma dove davvero mangi i piatti genovesi/liguri. Buon tagliere e davvero ottimi sia il coniglio alla ligure sia il fritto misto di pesce. Servizio attento, cordiale e professionale.

The food is more than good, with special dishes, the service is also good without long waits and at the same time not pressured. In short, a place to spend a pleasant evening in company. 22/03/2025: Highly recommended restaurant with traditional Ligurian cuisine at modest prices. The dishes are all prepared on the spot, including fried food, which makes each dish unique and special. Welcoming and very kind owners.
23/02/2025: My wife and I spent a wonderful evening at dinner in this very small trattoria restaurant (once a butcher's shop) serving typical Genoese cuisine located in the historic center of Genoa next to Piazza di Sarzano. The simple, spartan restaurant has very few internal tables, just 3, and in summer there are also several and more numerous ones outdoors on the street. We ordered gnocchi with house pesto and a Genoese minestrone as first courses and as second courses a terra-mar fry (anchovies, porcini mushrooms and borage) and a roast with carrots and pistachio panna cotta for dessert. What can I say? Everything was plentiful, delicious and the pesto made by them was delicious. The bread was also delicious and of excellent quality. The two welcoming, smiling, warm, competent, professional, friendly and helpful owners deserve a special mention and have created a climate of human warmth that can no longer be found in other restaurants. You feel welcomed and pampered from the moment you enter the restaurant and are looked after in a respectful manner without any intrusion. The very attentive and fast service and the right prices for the incredible quality of the dishes. We recommend eating outdoors when the warm weather arrives and you have a beautiful view of the street!!
