A title for this review: After a splendid e-bike ride along the suggestive cycle path of the Costa dei Trabocchi, we treated ourselves to a well-deserved lunch break at the Trabocco Pesce Palombo restaurant, located on a fascinating trabocco overlooking a group of rocks with a breathtaking view that extends from Ortona to Vasto. A truly magical place, where the sea and nature create a unique atmosphere. The staff, welcoming and kind, presented us with the fixed menu, consisting of a series of starters, two first courses, a second course, dessert, wine and coffee. The professionalism of the service immediately stood out, as did the quality of the location: having lunch suspended over the sea, with the sound of the waves as a soundtrack, is a priceless experience. We started with a welcome entrée: a parcel of fried anchovies accompanied by rosé bubbles, a perfect combination to open the lunch. Followed by a very fresh fish salad with cuttlefish, octopus and squid on a concassé of tomatoes and pesto, a combination of delicate and bold flavours. The second hot appetizer surprised us with stuffed cuttlefish, a cod and potato pie on a pepper cream and a mullet burger stuffed with vegetables. Every bite revealed the excellence of the catch and the skill of the kitchen. The first courses were equally extraordinary: gnocchi with pumpkin cream, shellfish and almonds, followed by tonnarelli with amberjack. Both dishes were a riot of flavours, with the highest quality ingredients enhancing the freshness of the fish. The second course, a fillet of croaker on a bed of saffron potatoes with black Cyprus salt and a side dish of courgettes, was simply sublime. The delicacy of the croaker, combined with the aromatic flavor of the saffron and the crunchy touch of the black salt, made this dish memorable. To finish, a dessert of homemade sweets accompanied by a fresh sorbet and excellent coffee, all served with impeccable kindness and attention from the staff. An experience that combined the love of good food with the unparalleled charm of the Costa dei Trabocchi. I've had some disappointing trabocci meals in recent years, but I took some family members here who were visiting Italy for the first time and we had an excellent meal. Service was also excellent The trabocco down the coast (I won't mention the name) charges the same amount (70 Euros) and has worse service and does not include your wines!!! So Pesce Palombo is now my go to for a trabocco experience. Highly recommended.

Excellent fish, formidable location

Refined and elegant hospitality just like the venue. Extremely high quality products expertly prepared. Wonder inside the room with the furnishings to be admired and outside the earthly paradise of the Costa dei Trabocchi. Absolutely worth visiting.

Trabocco in an easily accessible position with private parking. It is not possible to eat à la carte but you must only choose the proposed menu, at the price of €70.00 each. Refined and clean environment.
