Excellent meat dishes: tasty, cooked to perfection, the best in Messina! Also very good is the pasta with squid ink and risottos. Very good appetizers both raw (tartare etc.) and cooked. In particular the cheeses with fig and onion jams are sublime. Wide selection of wines. Competent and very courteous staff.

It's a bit expensive but offers excellent food quality. Highly recommended.

Went for a lunch with my wife while on vacation in Sicily. Ordered 3 kinds platter of carpaccio. Truffles & mushroom pasta for my wife & aaa wagu ground meat with some greens in mushrooms gravy. Carpaccio - delicious Pasta - very tender & flavorful Meat ( ordered medium ) - came overcooked & slightly burnt greens Service - horrible From a walk in ( me dressed in a tank top, espadrilles & linen shorts; reason being of lots of walking under 85+ heat ) received an unpleasant welcome. Asked a waitress for an order and was told to give it a min while she stood by the counter looking into her iphone. I ordered a fanta and my wife - aperol spritz… 10 min later & reminder - were told that fanta is coming and aperol spritz is not available … Changed to wine … glass of wine came with a glass bottle of fanta ( no glass given ) … Overall, not easy to communicate in English ( given credit of English language menu availability ) and service quality is lacking; food is great ( if you choose the right dishes ) …

I go to eat at Toro Nero whenever I can, they cook quite well, the meat is excellent, for all tastes and the service is attentive and fast.

A place in the city center with excellent food. I went there for lunch more than once, and the meats served were truly exceptional, succulent and tasty. The atmosphere is refined, and excellent for a business lunch or for those who want to try a good meat dish or a good pasta (I recommend the carbonara). I should highlight the extreme courtesy of the waiter, who, seeing that the glass of wine served was not really a glass, winked at me and said "if I may, I'll pour you another, on me". I recommend booking, especially at lunch.

Pleasant place, excellent meat-based main courses but the first courses are also very good. Excellent value for money.
