The best restaurant in Volterra. I came with friends and we had a really good time. There was a lot of choice of homemade and even elaborate vegan dishes (we loved the vegan chickpea cheese, the aubergine parmigiana not to mention their incredible desserts). A well deserved 5/5 ☺️

Hidden gem in Volterra and in Italy. The perfect place for a vegan to take non-vegans to eat. They will not be disappointed, only amazed and delighted. Enrico, the owner, is amazing -- such a pleasure to meet him and hear his story.

We managed to turn up without reservation and were seating quickly. The service is extremely friendly, and the dishes are explained with the menu. They really care about the food, service and produce here. We enjoyed 3 delicious courses.

Een weldaad voor de vegetariër! Een mooi restaurant waar je heerlijk buiten kunt zitten in een van de mooiste straatjes van Volterra. De eigenaar en zijn zoon zijn enthousiast en stralen plezier uit bij ieder gerecht dat met zorg is gemaakt. Alle ingrediënten komen uit de omgeving van Volterra en alles wat wij aten was ‘fabulous’.

Without a doubt, Life Bistrot is among the top vegan restaurants in Italy (and in Europe!). My wife and I had dinner there and also lunch the day after, in order to try as many items of the menu as possible. Every dish is top notch, made with fresh organic ingredients, very tasty, presented extremely well, and even balanced from a nutritional point of view. The owner is a fantastic person and always willing to explain all the dishes and even the history of thr restaurant and the associated hotel in town. Personally I would particularly recommend the pici (especially if you like pepper), the seitan which is otherworldly, and the melanzana "alla parmigiana", but make sure you don't miss the desserts! If I could give this place 6 stars out of 5, I would. I hope I'll be back soon!
