Original restaurant both in terms of the cuisine and the glass floor revealing an archaeological site.
For the main courses, the starters were very good (lentils and zucchini tartlet), for my main course I was more reserved (almond pici and black pepper) overcooked and I didn't feel the almond cream,
The san-gimigiano rose was very good.

An enchanting place, with attention to every detail, such as the internal floor which allows you to see the archaeological excavations below, including a wonderful Etruscan well. Welcoming, thoughtful staff, genuinely in love with their work and the research that shines through in the preparation of the dishes. Exquisite cuisine, with unexpected and well-studied combinations. Many compliments!

The place looks very welcoming as do the staff, we joked about it all evening. The dishes are very good and you can see the passion, all that's missing is that extra sparkle to make them perfect in our opinion. Considering how difficult it is to find restaurants of this type, the offer is certainly appreciated and the quality can be felt ✨

Een weldaad voor de vegetariër! Een mooi restaurant waar je heerlijk buiten kunt zitten in een van de mooiste straatjes van Volterra. De eigenaar en zijn zoon zijn enthousiast en stralen plezier uit bij ieder gerecht dat met zorg is gemaakt. Alle ingrediënten komen uit de omgeving van Volterra en alles wat wij aten was ‘fabulous’.

Without a doubt, Life Bistrot is among the top vegan restaurants in Italy (and in Europe!). My wife and I had dinner there and also lunch the day after, in order to try as many items of the menu as possible. Every dish is top notch, made with fresh organic ingredients, very tasty, presented extremely well, and even balanced from a nutritional point of view. The owner is a fantastic person and always willing to explain all the dishes and even the history of thr restaurant and the associated hotel in town. Personally I would particularly recommend the pici (especially if you like pepper), the seitan which is otherworldly, and the melanzana "alla parmigiana", but make sure you don't miss the desserts! If I could give this place 6 stars out of 5, I would. I hope I'll be back soon!
