This was a short walk from our hotel and we relied on google reviews. Thanks to Chris and the staff for being SO hospitalble! There were Americans, French, Italians—real international group all delighted. Cacio e pepe was insanely good! Off menu specials worth a try. Outside seating with a fun Roman cat to make it feel like home!

Mandatory (dry) bread with olive oil and balsamico for 2€/person.
Seafood is thawed from frozen during off-season, which is stated on the back of the menu - good with transparency.
We chose ragu, and it is tasted okay, nothing special compared to other places.
We felt the service was a bit rushed on getting plates away, while the dishes we got for the bread were not clean, so I had to rub the worst off both plates with the napkin.

Just had an excellent meal at Tempio di Baci restaurant. They have an extensive menu - we ended up sharing the lentil soup (fantastic), caccio e peppi, and the fish of the day. The fish was cooked to perfection - so fresh. Lots of options for vegetarians too. This restaurant is a hidden gem!
After 2 days of Banglo/Roman cuisine, I started asking for advice from those who had a Roman accent (a rarity in Rome).
So they recommended the Temple of Bacchus to me.
Kind and friendly staff, very attentive to customer requests and always one step ahead.
They also serve excellent quality gluten-free dishes in the right portions.
We opted for carbonara and cacio pepe (on the waiter's recommendation) and we didn't regret it at all.
Considering that the day was still long, we stopped at the first ones, decidedly full.
The bill is equated to the place and situation (Rome and on holiday) and therefore fair.
I highly recommend it!!!

When you travel, it's hard to know what restaurant to choose for a good meal. We do a lot of searching on trip advisor and Google but there are many mixed reviews. The menus posted are often out of date. So, it was such a nice surprise to find a restaurant where we had an authentic Italian meal. The service and the food were excellent. We tried the fettuccine with meat sauce and the pasta (ravioli) with fresh tomatoes and stuffed with grouper and cheese. Both were served hot & the pasta was al dente. Both had wonderful flavor. They had many other meals on the menu that we would try if we were in Rome longer. Our server was Alex and he was delightful.
Highly recommend this restaurant.

Un’ottima carbonara (anche abbondante!) e poi una buona scaloppina al limone con contorno di patate al forno: persino troppo per il mio stomaco, quindi niente dolce.
Prezzo più che ragionevole.
Personale gentile e ambiente gradevole.
