It wasn't just a simple dinner, but a truly wonderful experience, served with taste, elegance, and sobriety. A refined location, a warm atmosphere, and a beautiful table setting. The menu is intriguing, and the service and attention are impeccable. They pampered us all evening and made us feel at home. The menu is varied and never boring, the food is excellent and artfully presented. The wine list is beautiful. Great attention was paid to food intolerances and/or special requests.
Excellent value for money. We'll be back soon!

Dinner with colleagues, with some suspicions about a restaurant with a very (too?) ambitious name. But what? And yet, it turned out to be a temple of taste, hospitality, and care. The people who welcomed and served us during dinner poured all their passion into making this a magical experience, far beyond the extraordinary quality of the dishes prepared for us. Samples were also prepared for those who hadn't ordered a starter or dessert, making the dinner a true social gathering where, at no point, no one was excluded from participating. Every suggestion and every small gesture aimed to make our dinner a special moment. Coming to Spoleto and not having lunch or dinner at Tempio could be a missed opportunity.

Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The ambience, food and service were all excellent and a real pleasure. Had several special requests and dietary restrictions which were all addressed and accepted without a problem. Was a great and imaginative menu and I was quite satisfied with the experience. Will definately return and recommend to others!!!

A small restaurant spread across several floors, unfortunately small and cramped, but decently furnished, with a small outdoor area (a corner of a city square).
The tasting menus are interesting, beautiful, and delicious.
The staff is kind and friendly.
Well worth a visit.

A good restaurant, near the Arch of Drusus, with small but welcoming spaces.
We chose the tasting menu, rich and intriguing, which proved distinctive and comforting, reflecting both the local area and the flavors of the individual courses.
Both the white and red wines made both the tasting and the assimilation of the dishes easier.
Impeccable service, fair price. Well done, an experience worth repeating.

Spoleto isn't known for innovation and creativity; it's known for not giving space to modernity.
Knowing that there's a drive that, on paper, aims to be creative (almost a protest), and what's more, in the historic center, is laudable but not enough.
The place is welcoming, elegant, and historic; the meitre is affable, kind, and never intrusive; the young people are nice and deserve recognition.
The focus is on the cuisine, and it's here that the genius or flaw is revealed.
Innovating means deeply understanding tradition and the world, so that the product, and the tradition itself, can live forever and innovate in a new way.
A classic tradition throughout Italy—local cured meats and cheeses—didn't express the full regional flavor here (I asked for the dressing several times, even though I shouldn't have, especially in Umbria; it arrived late and almost at the end of the dish. Savoring the dish, even through the oils and a tasting, would have been important and pleasant).
Good but not impressive.
Let's start with the mousse bouche, which is usually the chef's presentation: a sort of reconstruction of a tomato, on a white cream. It certainly could have been interesting, but it lacked punch, was absolutely flat, and not even the pseudo-cheese cream at the base could enhance it (so much so that my companion left it half-finished).
What a shame.
The reinterpretation of scrambled egg with truffle (a typical Spoleto dish) is served here at a low temperature (the cooking and temperature were not explained at the service). My companion is not an expert, but he enjoyed it even though he wasn't familiar with it; I found it "lukewarm" and not punchy, much less disruptive to tradition.
Moving on to the first courses, my "classic" tagliolini with truffle is homemade, with a very good consistency. It turned out to be very good, but again, nothing exceptional.
Finally, I was intrigued by one of their main course offerings, a duck breast cooked in oil.
I should point out that duck breast is a very complex dish to prepare, and reading a different technical proposal was the impetus for trying it. Cooking it was an interesting experience for me.
I had so many expectations and curiosity, but unfortunately I was disappointed (which I also expressed and emphasized when the waiter asked about it).
A duck breast served with an orange sauce (the only one that made sense), along with two other sauces that made no sense at all. The real problem was the overcooking of the duck breast: extremely dry and overcooked.
That poor breast had never seen the Pink Spot; it was impossible to chew and swallow. Honestly, it was a huge disappointment.
Unfortunately, I don't feel like recommending this place, which truly has so much potential, but needs a lot of study.

So di aver perso una grande occasione perchè ero alla ricerca di un piatto tipicamente umbro strangozzi al tartufo, mentre i piatti alternativi proposti nel menu meritavano un attenzione maggiore, ma ero stato in precedenza disilluso da una precedente ristorazione vicino Norcia e ho voluto giocarmi la carta vincente prima di ripartire e.... sono stato ampiamente soddisfatto. Sublime è poco .... un piatto che esalta tutto il sapore del tartufo! Per i dolci direi stesso punteggio 10 e lode. Accoglienza, assistenza e comprensione all 'altezza del punteggio acquisito dal ristorante. Tutto perfetto ! Conto leggermente più alto ma ne vale davvero la spesa anche perchè vengono offerti dalla casa antipastini vari gratuitamente. Ci tornerò sicuramente prima o poi.

Il Tempio del Gusto nos fue recomendado por nuestro maravilloso 'Albergo' Hotel Aurora, y fue una de las cenas más deliciosas, deliciosas y elegantes que he tenido en Italia, para mí comparable a la ahora cerrada LeBecFin en Filadelfia, PA. Nuestro servidor era un caballero dulce que entendía muy poco inglés, que estaba bien porque entiendo la mayoría del italiano y tenía mi teléfono para traducir. Después de que pedimos nuestros platos (pedí su plato de espaguetis picante), nos dieron varios cursos que no sabíamos que recibiríamos gratis. Nos dieron una muestra de quesos Umbrianos para comenzar con pan fresco, junto con un pequeño frasco de alcachofas adobadas para cada uno de nosotros. Al final de nuestra comida, nos ofrecieron una pequeña muestra de galletas de postre. Todo fue excepcional tanto en la presentación como en el tamaño de la porción. El interior está iluminado por velas y las paredes están adornadas con fotos de bailarines de ballet, que cuando pregunté por qué, el servidor se comunicó simplemente porque al propietario le gusta el ballet. Las mesas estaban cubiertas de mantel y todo era precioso. ¡No te pierdas este tesoro de Spoleto!
