It remains one of my favorite places... Top quality food.. Very friendly service and staff.. Excellent wine cellar... Lovely place and environment...outdoors for summer lunches beautiful and private.

Location, welcome, food and attention to detail both in the table service and in the room preparation I would say excellent. I would say to check the items in the bill carefully because, in my case, there was an addition of a guest instead already included in the estimate, reported later there was no response in this regard. I consider this negative. livio

I am not in the profession, I am not able to comment on raw materials or cooking procedures. But if you want to dine in the middle of the woods in an amazing location, elegant but rustic at the right level; if you want to dine and savor the same food as in a starred restaurant. Especially if you want to be treated WELL, without being annoyed by too much. Go there. And don't worry if you forgot your glasses, they have a very elegant box with all the diopters available. TOP.

Kind and discreet service, with a special touch given by the chef who passes between the tables, a gesture much appreciated. The environment is truly splendid: elegant and immersed in an enchanting park. We tried the land and sea tasting menu; the sea route convinced us 4/5, while the land route left us a little less enthusiastic 3/5. Overall, a pleasant experience, even if we expected something more from the dishes. The price adequate for the research of the dishes, the beauty of the location and the exclusive atmosphere.

Restaurant immersed in the greenery of the Appiano Gentile pine forest, elegant and spacious, suitable for accommodating even large companies. Refined cuisine that has its roots in tradition. Ambitious wine carder. Advised !!!

Avevo sentito parlare molto positivamente di questo ristorante e infatti ci tornerò sicuramente. Bellissimo il contesto, il ristorante si trova immerso nella natura, è molto luminoso, grazie alle ampie vetrate e ci sono diverse sale da pranzo. La famiglia di proprietari, si premura di far sentire gli ospiti a casa e il servizio è assolutamente impeccabile. Lo chef prepara piatti degni di nota, dal pesce alla carne: il mio polpo e il secondo di pesce mi hanno davvero soddisfatta. Grazie alla Signora Amalia, che si è occupata di noi con tantissima premura. Purtroppo, non ho assaggiato nessun dolce, ma non esiterò la prossima volta.

Sempre una certezza! siamo clienti abituali ma lo staff della Tarantola riesce sempre a sorprenderci con piatti della tradizione rinnovati (l’ossobuco di vitello Rossini magnifico) oppure con proposte innovative (la variazione vegetaria, incredibile esplosione di sapori). L’ambiente e il servizio sono da sempre eccellenti. Che dire… bravi!

10/05/2025: I went with some friends to try the famous and delicious "risotto with perch". One of my friends is allergic to shellfish, so I asked by calling if there were any in the risotto and they confirmed several times that the broth was made only of vegetables and that there were no shellfish. I decided to book and happily went to dinner. When it was time to choose we looked at the number that corresponds to the shellfish allergen next to the risotto with perch, we asked and they confirmed that the broth had shellfish. I was embarrassed and disappointed, my friend had a pasta with crab that didn't drive her crazy. We also chose a wine that was on the still list, precisely because we wanted it still, and instead it was sparkling. I have been going for years and have always had a great time, the food is fresh and very good. Their risotto is the best I have eaten in the area, as is their lake appetizer. It's a shame about these two details, but they make the difference.
