Spunzillo S.O.S. A Saturday evening was saved by Spunzillo restaurant/pizzeria. Arriving in Salerno without a dinner reservation, I stumbled upon the place in a waterfront alley. Salerno always captivates with its waterfront architecture, and Spunzillo blends in perfectly with its blue awnings and majolica tables. The staff is a real asset; when you find kindness and friendliness, you can easily overlook the "pizzeria-like" service. Unfortunately, the cheerful and relaxed atmosphere was marred by tables served before mine and by pizzas with scant toppings. Spunzillo's cuoppo and the relaxed atmosphere are the saving grace for this place, which risks being in deep water. Rating - 5

We go back often. The food is fantastic, with fresh fish, generous portions, and light pizzas! The added bonus of bringing focaccia bread is always appreciated.

The pizza was delicious and the potato croquettes with ham and cheese were amazing! The service was excellent and the place is very nice. We also ordered a very tasty lemon dessert.

Delicious dishes, truly compliments, accompanied by a very tasty focaccia. The seafood salad and spaghetti with clams were tasty and well-made. All washed down with a good white wine.

Went here for dinner and although our first choices of dinner were out of stock we still had a good time. The food was great and the waiter really helped us out when choices didn't turn out to be available.
