Excellent quality raw materials and excellent service, it is not easy to find a restaurant manager who today works with so much passion to express and communicate his products to customers. Very fresh and top quality fish, the plating of the dishes is very good dishes, I recommend!

Very good, but below expectations
For some time I wanted to try Selmi 22, which is widely spoken about very well when you want to eat good fish in Modena; finally two of us went by booking with The Fork (precisely as of now, without any particular discounts).
Well: extremely satisfied in terms of welcome, everyone was very nice and kind; the environment is well looked after. Excellent bread, breadsticks and pane carasau immediately arrive at the table.
We started with two fish starters: a Selmi 22 (raw and cooked) and a mixed Carpaccio with the addition of tuna tartare. Really excellent! Absolutely fresh fish, carpaccio cut with a knife, nothing to say.
So we had two first courses: an Anchovy Pasta and a Paccheri with seafood. Here, frankly, is the surprise: the pasta with anchovies and toasted breadcrumbs was excessively seasoned with tomato sauce, which decidedly alters the traditional Palermo dish (we are Sicilian) that is intended to be proposed, disappointing the expectations of those who probably expect to eat that; the Paccheri allo scoglio, unfortunately, were ruined by the use of clams which were practically all closed, something which honestly has never happened to me and on which I do not intend to make further evaluations. I personally would have been very careful, avoiding bringing closed shellfish to the table. Overall they were not bad, especially in terms of cooking, but certainly of an average level if we consider what has been pointed out above.
At that point we opted for two desserts: a pistachio semifreddo with salted caramel and a Catalan flambé. Both turned out to be extremely good, as I have rarely tried them elsewhere!
We accompanied everything with a vintage prosecco, definitely worthy.
Clearly I am not expressing a negative opinion at all, but I must say that I was not satisfied according to expectations, although only due to the first ones.

Christmas Eve dinner above all expectations. Excellent cuisine and impeccable service in an intimate and welcoming environment.
The innkeeper Antonio welcomed us and pleasantly accompanied us throughout the evening.

We were in Modena on our wedding anniversary. We made reservations that day. The weather was pleasant so we sat outdoors. Great vibe and atmosphere from the owner and our server.
The wine list was excellent and the food was superb. Loved the crème brûlée and pistachio ice cream. After we paid, our server brought out liquors to help us celebrate our special day. One of our favs in Italy, for sure.

An experience worth having if you want to eat well, in an elegant environment and a positive atmosphere, in the heart of Modena in serenity.
Elegant, clean and modern location in the heart of Modena but slightly away from the confusion of the nearby square. Extremely friendly, prepared, competent staff with an excellent proactive attitude. The cuisine is excellent. Although the restaurant is best known for its fish-based dishes, the meat is also excellent. Advised.

Nonostante Modena non annoveri la cucina di pesce come specialità tipica, abbiamo voluto provare questo ristorante per via delle numerose recensioni positive, ma nel complesso sono rimasto soddisfatto a metà.
Abbiamo preso due primi (strozzapreti con calamari e asparagi - che però in autunno non dovrebbero essere di stagione e che quindi si presumono surgelati - e paccheri allo scoglio, che ho assaggiato solo in minima parte) e un secondo per due (catalana di crostacei, un piatto leggero che però, mea culpa, eviterei di riprendere perché ho scoperto che consiste solo di gamberi e insalata, sia pure in gran quantità).
Il problema è stato, al di là del sapore che ho trovato magari un po’ anonimo (ma è tutto molto soggettivo e forse avrei dovuto scegliere altro), il conto complessivo abbastanza eccessivo: 70 euro per 3 piatti mi paiono sinceramente un po’ spropositati, dal momento che in altri ristoranti di pesce ricordo di aver preso un numero maggiore di portate pagando però di meno.
Il posto si presenta tutto sommato elegante e sobrio ma siccome dentro è abbastanza stretto e si crea facilmente un po’ di rumore, per stare più tranquilli ci siamo messi fuori nel dehor. Qui però
la temperatura era un po’ bassa e nonostante abbiano acceso una lampada l’ambiente non si è riuscito a riscaldare più di tanto: non ne voglio fare una colpa, ci mancherebbe, ma siamo dovuto rimanere tutto il tempo con le giacche per non sentire freddo.
Mi sentirei di dare nel complesso 3.5 su 5, ma non essendo possibile dare voti intermedi sono indeciso tra 3 e 4: forse il primo voto è un po’ troppo severo, ma siccome il secondo mi pare viceversa troppo elevato, ho optato per il 3, proprio per evidenziare gli aspetti che non ho del tutto gradito.
