What a Special Experience.
We chose this place to try Eritrean cuisine for the first time, and it was an experience we'll want to repeat!
The restaurant is quite intimate, and to fully immerse ourselves in this part of the world, we chose to sit upstairs, where the atmosphere is even more evocative and characteristic. The traditional low wooden tables and chairs and the softer lighting made the wonderful colors of the walls and furnishings stand out even more.
The ingredients are also colorful.
We sampled both the vegetarian and meat versions.
The ingredients are carefully crafted, and nothing is left to chance in that thin bread base that serves as a cradle. The balance of flavors is impeccable.
The cover charge also includes an all-you-can-eat "bread" menu, but don't give in to temptation and save room for the eggs and chicken.
The wine selection is also dedicated to the Earth: bold, highly enjoyable and attractive, intense wines that perfectly complement all the dishes.
There wasn't time for dessert this time, but there was an interesting selection, including some off-menu items.
Big compliments to the service. Welcoming, attentive, and dynamic. The young woman who served us was incredibly sweet, knowledgeable, and warmed our hearts with her smile!
The sommelier was a feast for the eyes, with a dynamic and kind spirit to spare.
Well done everyone!
We created memories and found a new favorite.
I can't wait to visit you again!

Excellent Ethiopian restaurant. We had the opportunity to try the meat sambusa, lentil rolls, and kutfo as appetizers. Next, we ordered the meat and vegetarian zighinì. A gluten-free version is also available upon reservation.
Highly recommended if you're looking for a new experience.

A quiet and simple place, like their dishes—it's impossible not to mop up the bread. Everything is delicious.

A very pleasant experience, the owner was very friendly without being intrusive. Dishes are brought to share if multiple people order the same, and you eat with your hands. The food was very good (I recommend the vegetarian zighini with the chickpea hummus). My only criticism was the bread, which I found a bit sour and overpowered the flavors of the dish.

Truly excellent value for money. The food was generally really good.
The only downside is that you have to wait a bit.
Overall, recommended.

We found it by chance for Saturday lunch, while we were passing through Milan. The atmosphere was welcoming, as was the waiter who seated us. We opted for a full menu of meat and a vegetarian option (all prices are clearly displayed both inside and outside the restaurant). We had never tasted Eritrean cuisine before and were curious to try new flavors.
Everything was very good, and the service was quick, as there were only two tables occupied. Since it was a menu, we expected multiple courses, but it was served on a single plate, which still had a beautiful color scheme. Their traditional bread, which resembles a crepe, is used to eat the food, and they bring you unlimited amounts. A pleasant experience, and a very pleasant waiter who served us.

I returned here a few years after my last visit, and although I had already loved it, it exceeded my expectations. Everything was delicious!

The dishes were incredibly rich in flavor and very filling!
I had the vegetarian zighinì, and the chickpea cream in particular was truly spectacular. The mango mousse for dessert was also very good.
The dining room where we ate was quiet, with an intimate and cozy atmosphere. We were able to have a conversation without the usual hustle and bustle typical of restaurants. The gentleman serving the tables and managing the cash register was truly kind, unlike anything I've ever seen; he even offered us a herbal tea at the end of the meal. If you have any leftovers, you can take them home. I highly recommend them.
