Sartù In Napoli

A lovely last evening in Naples. A friendly welcome and excellent service with excellent advice, a fantastic selection of food and drinks, and excellent food. Reasonable prices. One suggestion for perhaps improving things even further: a welcome from the kitchen would have been the icing on the cake. We'd love to come back 😄

I went to this restaurant for dinner with my husband. Nice menu and good wine list. Attentive and friendly service. Traditional dishes well-prepared and excellent ingredients.

The cuisine is top-notch. Traditional Neapolitan dishes revisited and improved. It's impossible to find a flaw in the dishes. Truly excellent.

Lots of drama but little substance. The space is linear and confined to just a few tables, offering a varied but unstaffed menu. Zucchini flowers as an appetizer, with rigatoni alla norma for the main course. Nothing particularly impressive. The service is courteous, and the prices are above average, especially for the wines.

After several disappointments in Neapolitan restaurants, we tried this one evening, while we were dressed in hiking shoes, shorts, and backpacks. We were better received than anywhere else. The dishes were so excellent that we ordered more, the wines delicious, and the service adorable.

I confess I'm biased. I've been coming here for several years and am generally more than satisfied. On my last visit, I tasted a spectacular tagliolini alla Nerano with red shrimp tartare. I hope to return by the end of the summer, because out of season, I already know the "Nerano" will disappear from the menu. Prices are on average higher than other restaurants in Vomero, but at least they avoid the usual stereotypes of the popular suddenly becoming chic, even in terms of price. A well-stocked cellar and a serene atmosphere.

Il sartú borbonico dei monsu...era da tempo che volevamo provarlo: ottimo, accompagnato da un piedirosso dei campi flegrei. Atmosfera ed ambiente caldi, eleganti ed accoglienti; è come sentirsi in un salone di una casa di amici, pieno di bottiglie di vino di livello e libri .... proprietario molto simpatico e accogliente; molto gentili i ragazzi del servizio. Torneremo per provare le altre delizie della cucina della nostra tradizione e borbonica, tratta da "bibbie" della gastronomia storica ovvero quelle di Vincenzo Corrado, Ippolito Cavalcanti e Jean Carole Francesconi. Siateci anche voi!

We returned to Sartù after a few months, and the quality continues to satisfy and surprise. The environment is relaxing for colors and atmosphere, the service excellent (Maurizio followed us in our lunch with sympathy and discretion, in the right measure, with suggestions on wine/meal pairing and pleasant short exchanges of jokes), the tasty dishes, with quality of the raw material that reveals itself to the palate, and ideal quantity. A gem: in addition to the sartù - obviously - a sublime parmigiana in carrozza..!

Dinner at Ristorante Sartù, in the heart of Vomero, and I must say it was a real discovery. Elegant but welcoming atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff from the first to the last minute. The menu is a tribute to Neapolitan tradition revisited with taste and originality: dishes with attention to detail, balanced flavors and just the right portions. The sartù is obviously a must, but the seafood first courses and desserts also deserve an encore. I shot some clips during the evening and I can say that the place is also very suitable for those who want to tell the experience visually: warm lights, carefully arranged plating and discreet background music that accompanies without disturbing. A restaurant that knows how to enhance Neapolitan cuisine without slipping into the usual clichés. Perfect for both a romantic dinner and a special occasion. I will definitely be back.
