A lovely discovery at this newly managed restaurant. The menu offers both traditional and slightly revisited dishes, but without being overly elaborate. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service excellent. We'll definitely be back.

A very cute and welcoming place just steps from the Herculaneum ruins. The menu is full of traditional dishes with a touch of innovation. The stuffed zucchini flowers, cod meatballs, and eggplant parmigiana are truly amazing. They also have a nice selection of meats. We'll definitely be back.

Rubbery mozzarella and unripe tomatoes in the caper salad, overcooked octopus and squid. The salad was clearly from a supermarket bag, there was no effort put into the presentation, and the service was minimal. We had to ask twice for bread, and it finally arrived almost at the end of the meal. There was no salt or pepper on the table, and the wine was mulled... In short, very disappointing.

Excellent experience
Finding a restaurant that values simplicity and quality, free from unnecessary frills, is always a joy. And I found it at Tubba Catubba in Ercolano.
The atmosphere is welcoming, simple, familiar, and relaxing. Here, you can breathe in the authentic Neapolitan atmosphere and get the feeling that their work is a true philosophy of life. The owner welcomes guests with genuine warmth.
What did we eat?
We started with timeless classics, prepared with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. The menu, not particularly extensive because it focuses on seasonality and freshness, is a guarantee that everything served has been carefully selected.
The first courses are unmissable. I particularly recommend:
-Spaghettone with clams and local lupini beans. The pasta used is "Gerardo di Nola" Gragnano spaghetti, a local delicacy. The clams were plentiful, flavorful, and perfectly opened. A light sprinkling of parsley completed the dish, adding a touch of freshness.
Fresh egg tagliolini with three shellfish. A seafood feast. The shellfish (Mazara del Vallo red shrimp, porcupine scampi, and prawns) were served in two textures: crispy "popcorn" and in their velvety, fragrant bisque, which enveloped the pasta like a hug.
To finish, a homemade tiramisu, simply perfect.
The bill was more than fair: for this entire culinary experience, we spent about 30 euros each, an unbeatable value.
I recommend booking, especially in the evening.

An excellent restaurant for those who love authentic Neapolitan cuisine, with meat and fish dishes prepared with great quality and attention. Authentic flavors, generous portions, and truly excellent ingredients. The selection of beers and wines is also exceptional, extensive and refined, perfect to accompany every dish.
A huge compliment also goes to the staff: professional, kind, and always attentive to the customer. The owner is a wonderful person, competent and passionate about his work, capable of making you feel welcomed from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and family-friendly, the service impeccable. A place where you eat truly well and will be happy to return. Highly recommended!

We ate very well.
The parmigiana appetizer and the generous fried squid were delicious.
Spaghetti with lupini beans and spaghettoni alla Nerano were truly delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection.
